Verizon to Launch LTE in West Virginia

Today Verizon Wireless announced that they will be holding a press conference in West Virginia on Wednesday October 27th, regarding the launch of their new LTE network. Verizon says they will be launching their LTE, Long Term Evolution, network in Charleston, West Virginia first, with 10 metropolitan cities to follow.

The 10 lucky cities will be experiencing LTE coverage later this year through 2013. Verizon also made a statement that they plan to have 38 markets and also 60 commercial airports by the end of this year. This is means 4G broadband speeds from Verizon. Verizon didn’t give us a date on when the roll out will start in Charleston, but hopefully there will be more information at the press conference next week.
