Just when you thought Samsung was done for the year with the smaashing success of the Samsung Galaxy S line and the announcement of the wuickly forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab, Samsung and Sprint worked together on the new Samsung Transform. The Samsung Transform is a rock solid mid-range Android device. Although Samsung released the Samsung Intercept on Sprint, and now Virgin, earlier this summer, the Samsung Transform has a new place as it is one of the 3 Android devices to introduce the new Sprint ID concept.
The Samsung Transform features a sleek and now familiar looking black finish, with a slide out qwerty keyboard. It seems everytime the engineers at Samsung go back to the shop to hash out slide out qwerty keyboards they get better. This one, although not quite as refined as the Epic 4G keyboard, is better than the predecessors in the Samsung Intercept and the Samsung Moment (used to introduce Samsung Android devies to Sprint last year).
The transform is the first midrange Android phone to feature both a front and rear facing camera. The front camera is ideal for using wifi to do video chats, etc.
The Samsung Transform specs include:
3.5 Inch HVGA Display
3.2mp rear facing camera with flash (no zoom) and front facing camera for video conferencing
Full Slide Out Qwerty Keyboard
Android 2.1 with access to over 80,000 Android Apps in the App Market
Sprint ID which combines, themes, backgrounds and apps
Internal Memory 256/512 mb (RAM/ROM)
