Kingston Introduces affordable 32gb Micro SD Card

Storage getting full on your 16gb Micro SD card and not ready to take the $199 plunge to get the sandisk one? No worries Kingston Digital, the flash memory affiliate of Kingston Technology has announced that they will begin shipping their gigantic 32gb Class 4 MicroSD card this Monday.

Mike Kuppinger, Flash Card product Manager for Kingston said “”The need for additional portable storage has grown as the mobile phone has transitioned from a simple voice device to a powerful multifunctional tool which is used to email, listen to music, take photos and watch movies,”

The Kingston 32gb MicroSD card is capable of storing 29,000, 6,000 songs, and 2,000 minutes of video. The card was tested on some of the top tier Android devices including the HTC Evo, Motorola Droid X and Samsung Galaxy S “Vibrant” and reported to work flawlessly.

When asked about pricing the Kingston rep couldn’t pin point a price but said it would be priced significantly less than the Sandisk 32gb card which retails for $199
