Samsung Galaxy Note Shows Up With AT&T Branding

January 2nd, 2012

The Samsung Galaxy Note was announced back at the IFA convention in Berlin Germany in September. The 5″ Android powered device created a new category for Samsung between the tablet and the phone. It also introduced Samsung’s S Pen technology which turns the entire device into a canvas for a digital pen.

The Galaxy Note has already been released in other parts of the world and we are expecting in the U.S. in the coming months. There have been numerous rumors that it was headed to AT&T. We also saw it cross the desk of the FCC inspection center in Columbia Maryland, with AT&T bands in tow.

Now we’ve come across this render from Sammobile which shows the AT&T branding on the top. This could just be a photoshop job or perhaps an advance on a forthcoming press image.

We’re expecting the AT&T version to sport 4G/LTE for AT&T and possibly NFC/Google Wallet as well.

The picture should become clear in just about a week at CES in Las Vegas.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Exclusivity Mystery Takes Another Turn

October 27th, 2011

As we were leading up to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus the rumors were hot and heavy about Verizon Wireless carrying the device. First we heard it was a Verizon Wireless exclusive. At that rumor we were all up in arms because a Nexus branded device should never be exclusive, afterall it’s the “developer phone”.

Then when we saw the device launched late on the night of October 18th we heard no mention of Verizon Wireless. The only carrier announced when Google and Samsung did their press conference was Japan’s DoCoMo.  Still no official word about Verizon Wireless.
