Even though Motorola and Google are no longer part of a union, there have been reports of the two companies working closely for the development of future products. One such rumor is now hinting that the next Nexus smartphone could be made by Motorola, carrying a 5.9 inch display. Other aspects of the device remain a secret at the moment, but it is said that the handset will have the codename ‘Shamu‘. The codename was reportedly spotted on a build number over at Google’s issue tracker. It appears to be coming from...

A few months ago, LG announced a trio of new, more affordable tablets. One of the models is the LG G Pad 7.0 and according to Evleaks, an LTE variant will be launching on AT&T. The LG G Pad 7.0 has a 7″ screen with a resolution of 1,280 by 800, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon CPU, and 1 GB of RAM running on Android 4.4 KitKat. The Wifi variant runs for $150, so with LTE there will probably be a price increase, at least off-contract. When the LTE variant is released, would you be interested in it? Source: Evleaks ...

Just a few days after the possible front panel of the Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 compact was leaked, we now have our first possible images of the full device powered on and being used. This is the Chinese model of the Z3 with model number L55t, which is an upgrade from the Z2′s L50t model number. At first glance, it looks to be very similar to the Z2, but there are numerous hardware differences. The Z3 is running Android 4.4.4 KitKat on top of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC chipset with 2.5 GHz of quad-core processing power...

Word around the rumor mill is that the Sony Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact will be launched simultaneously in September, possibly at the IFA 2014 event in Berlin. A leaked document from Vodafone Germany seems to suggest that there will be a raffle for its customers where the Xperia Z3 and the Z3 Compact are mentioned. The winners of this contest will reportedly be given a trip to New York in time for Black Friday shopping. The document suggests that users can bring in their Xperia Z3 or the Z3 Compact and earn 1.5 points, which...

T-Mobile and Sprint have already announced that the LG G3 will arrive in the coming weeks, but AT&T and Verizon have still been quiet. While there is still no release date for the device on either carrier, we can now see what the G3 will look like on all the carriers. From left to right, it’s Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. What is the most interesting of all the models is the Verizon variant. It has a sleeker black look to it. While the other models have the same gray look, the Verizon one really stands out. If you’re...

At first glance you might mistake this HTC One (M8) model as the Sprint-exclusive Harman-Kardon edition, with its darkened color. But this is actually a new regular Black color. Other than that though, this appears to be the same M8 that has been available for sale since March. There’s no release timing of this color nor any word of the carriers it is going to, but it will probably be released soon. Source: Evleaks ...

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is due for a September launch at the IFA event in Berlin. And it’s customary to come across rumors of the smartphone a couple of months prior to the launch given the sort of impact the Note devices have on the market. This new rumor however comes off as a little odd as it’s suggesting the phablet will feature a 12-megapixel camera (with OIS) on the back rather than using the 16-megapixel ISOCELL sensor from the Galaxy S5. It is said that Samsung has taken this step in order to avoid making the Galaxy...

We’re only hours away from the kickoff of Google I/O with the keynote at 9 AM PDT, but leaks always happen last minute. According to 9to5Google, these images are of a press render of the Moto X+1. Also according to them, the device might be unveiled during the keynote. Perhaps its a device Google plans to give away this year, considering they do that every year. Last year they gave away a Chromebook Pixel and they’ve given out many more during past events as well. 9to5Google’s source also claims that the device...
