S6 Becomes Unresponsive To Touch

Problem: I am using s6. suddenly all of its screen other than notification panel becomes unresponsive of touch and became dim. power buttons and home key are working properly. please solve my problem.

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to simulate a battery pull. This will allow the phone to refresh its software. To perform this action all you need to do is to press on the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. The phone should restart after this. In case the issue still occurs after performing this step then the next step is to attempt a factory reset from the recovery mode. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data so make sure to have a backup copy of your data before doing this. You can try to backup your phone data by using Kies.

If the issue still persists even after the factory reset then there’s a possibility that the problem is caused by a damaged digitizer. Have this phone checked at a service center. If the problem is caused by the digitizer then you will need to have the whole display assembly replaced to fix this problem.

S6 Touchscreen Does Not Work

Problem: I Have done everything, Hard Reset, Soft Reset, Clear Cache, Upgrade to Nougat, and touchscreen don’t work. All the other buttons works perfectly, Please Help me,

I´m desperate

Solution: Just like the issue which we have addressed above the first thing that you will need to do is to attempt a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding down both the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Once the phone restarts you should check if the screen will now work. If it doesn’t then you will have to perform a factory reset from the recovery mode. This will allow you to check if a software glitch is causing the problem. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data so make sure to have a backup copy before proceeding.

In case the reset does not fix the problem then this might already be caused by damaged display. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

S6 Has Horizontal Line On Screen

Problem: Hello. I own a samsung galaxy s6 duos. My problem with it is that it has a fine horizontal line on the screen. You wouldn’t really notice it if you won’t focus but the horizontal line gets noticed because of the light. The display light is dimming on the other side of the line. Can it be fixed? Will you help me? I can’t do a soft restart. The battery is not detachable.

Solution: What you should do first in this case is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem. To do this you will have to start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. This is a great way to check if the problem is caused by an app you downloaded. If you don’t see the fine horizontal line while the phone is working in this mode then this problem could be caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the problem still occurs in Safe Mode then you should proceed with doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If after the reset the issue still persists then we might be looking at a damaged display assembly. Have this checked at a service center. If it is confirmed that the display is causing this problem then you should decide to just ignore the line or have the display assembly of your phone  replaced.

S6 Screen Went Blank

Problem: My Samsung s6 screen went blank and keeps showing a blue led light, it fell off my hand over a short distance and hit the floor on it’s charging port corner. I have tried most of the tips posted, they are not responsive. Do you think it’s a software issue? What do I do?

Solution: Since this problem occured right after you dropped your phone then there’s a possibility  that the display has been affected by the drop. What you should do in this case is to start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then the problem might just be caused by a software glitch in which case you will need to do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the problem still occurs even when the phone is started in recovery mode then this is most likely a hardware related issue already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Touchscreen Not Working After Phone Dropped

Problem: Today I dropped my galaxy S6 ACTIVE (option was not in the dropdown menu) on the floor face down. It doesn’t appear to be cracked at all but the touch screen no longer registers. The power button still turns it on and I can see my notifications, but can’t click on anything.

Solution: The drop might have damaged the digitizer of the phone. To troubleshoot this problem you will need to start the device in recovery mode then do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If after the reset the problem still occurs then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Touchscreen Not Working

Problem: I have issue with samsung s6. Wondering why it keep happening. Touch screen not working. Tried to hard reset. Tried to reboot from boot loader. Tried updating the *#2xxx# update keyboard uw bla bla. But it keep happening. Sometimes while i playing games. What app. And once it happen. Either i need to restart using hard reset button or need to wait for 5-10 minute . Then the touchscreen will be running like normal. Point is did someone found out the solution how to fix the touchscreen freeze

Solution: If the problem still occurs even after performing a factory reset from the recovery mode then there’s a possibility that the problem is caused by a faulty digitizer. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

S6 Keyboard Input Error

Problem: The qwerty screen now has the exclamation point where the period used to be! So inerrantly,l type “!” by habit instead of “.” . What must l do to fix it? I went into settings and l only have the samsung keyboard to choose from, there are no other choices!… Thanks

Solution: To fix this problem you should try clearing the cache and data of the keyboard app from the application manager. If this doesn’t fix the problem try downloading a third party keyboard app from the Google Play Store.

If the issue persists at this point then it could be a hardware related problem already. Bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
