Note 4 Shuts Off Randomly

Problem: My android note 4 shuts off randomly. I use snapchat a lot and when I open it it doesn’t matter what percent my phone is but it will shut off after a few seconds or after I send a message. My phone can be at 100% and it’ll shut off. The phone won’t turn back on unless you take the battery out or plug it in. I don’t know how to make it stop shutting off when I use snapchat. Please help!

Solution: What you should do right now is to check first if the problem is caused by a glitch in the phone software by performing the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. When your phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue occurs in this model. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This will delete the temporary system data which could be causing the problem.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fail then try getting a new battery and replace the battery your phone is using.

If the issue persists at this point then this could already be caused by an internal component that’s malfunctioning. I recommend that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Not Turning On Or Charging Unless Battery Taken Out First

Problem: I purchased a Galaxy note 4. I charged it before activation and turned it on to make sure it worked then shut It off. After that it wouldn’t take charge or turn on until I took out the battery and let it reset. It dies this every time it shuts down or us turned off. The guy I bought it from a says a tech told HIM it needed a software update, could this be why it does this?

Solution: You should try checking if the issue is caused by a faulty battery by getting a new battery. If the issue still occurs even with a new battery installed then I recommend that you do a factory reset to eliminate the possibility of thie being caused by a software glitch.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then this is very likely caused by an internal component that is failing to work, possibly the power IC. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

Note 4 Only Turns On When Plugged Into Charger

Problem: Phone only turns on when plugged into the charger. Once unplugged it shuts down.  While unplugged the phone will vibrate and enter the initial Android screen but then reset and continue to do this until you remove the battery. (over 20 min of this reset cycle last time I tried)  Can do the reboot and all other starting activities while the phone is plugged in but only while plugged in.

Solution: It’s quite possible that this problem is caused by a weak or faulty battery. I would recommend that you get a new battery first then check if this fixes the problem. If it doesn’t then proceed with checking if this issue is caused by a glitch in the phone software by backing up your phone software then doing a factory reset.

Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Won’t Boot After Freezing

Problem: Hi! My Galaxy Note 4 froze today and it won t boot after that.I took the battery out for about 15 minutes and then it boot but crashed soon after. vI did the same but this time it s not booting. Is it possible the battery to be the problem?

Solution: It could be a battery related problem however you should first try to check if other factors are involved by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it as this might be causing the problem.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the issue occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This will erase the temporary system data of the phone.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you can try replacing the battery. If this still fails then I recommend that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Stuck In Boot Logo After Battery Replacement

Problem: I recently purchased a new battery for my phone since the old one doesn’t hold a charge for very long. But once I put the new battery in the phone it just says galaxy note 4 and keeps vibrating off and on. Once I put the phone on the charger with the new battery it will turn on but the second I disconnect the phone it shuts down.

Solution: Try checking if the new battery is causing the problem by reinserting your old battery. If the issue doesn’t occur when the old battery is used then you should get another new battery. If the problem occurs even with the old battery installed then follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Take out the battery and microSD card. Press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear its RAM. Reinsert just the battery then turn on your phone.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Recovery Is Not Seandroid Enforcing Error

Problem: I installed a recovery program called dr.fone on my computer to recover deleted videos from my galaxy note 4 and during recovery my phone froze. I followed all the instructions listed within the Dr. fone program several times over and tried all the tricks on the internet. When I remove the battery as soon as it’s replaced the phone goes right back to that recovery screen from Dr. fone. I can’t access my devices own recovery mode to do any of the things that are suggested. “Recovery is not seandroid enforcing” appears in red at the top of the screen right before turning back on and going to that stuck recovery screen. Hope you can help.

Solution: This error message usually appears whenever some system files gets corrupted. To fix this you will need to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If the reset fails to fix the problem then consider flashing your phone with its updated stock firmware file. Instructions on how to do this can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.

Note 4 Battery Not Charging Above 80%

Problem: I have a Note 4. The battery will not charge above 80 percent and when the phone gets to 50 percent it just automatically dies. When I get the phone plugged in and turned back on it says I have 30 percent battery or one time it said my battery was dead but the phone was displaying a 50 percent battery before it died. Do I just need to go ahead and replace the battery or is this a software issue? I have had no other problems with the phone.

Solution: There’s a possibility that the problem is caused by a faulty battery. Try getting a new battery and check if the problem gets fixed. If it doesn’t then you will have to do a factory reset to check if the issue is caused by a software glitch. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

Note 4 Shuts Down With Power Left

Problem: I have the issue in my samsung note 4 shutdown with battery power left. I has suspect the battery and i was checked the battery voltage 3.79 was fine i think. when i tried to switch on with the remaining power it didn’t start but when the power cable or powerbank will help to restart the phone.   I am confused what is the problem?

Solution: It’s possible that this issue is caused by a faulty battery. Try getting a new battery and see if this fixes the problem. If it doesn’t then proceed with doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. If the reset fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

It happen only when i’m using my phone without charging. Please suggest me which part should i replace on my note 4.

Solution: You need to try getting a new battery and replace the one you have on your phone. This will allow you to check if the problem is caused by a faulty battery. If the issue persists then you will have to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
