S6 Edge Screen Flashing Green And White

Problem: I have an S6 Edge and I dropped it flat on its screen about two weeks ago. It’s worked fine and I haven’t had any problems until today. I got back to my room, plugged my phone into charge, and suddenly the screen went dead. When I tried to reactivate the screen it started flashing green and white at me. The top line was green while the rest was white, but it only took up about the center half of the screen if you’re holding it vertically.

Solution: What you need to do in this case is to check if the issue occurs when the phone is started in Safe Mode. Since only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run in this mode you will know if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. If the issue doesn’t occur in this mode then find out what app is causing this and uninstall it.

Should the issue occur even in Safe Mode then the next step is to check if it occurs in recovery mode. This is a separate environment from the main operating system of the phone and is useful in checking if the problem is caused by the phone software. If the screen works in this mode then you should consider doing a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then we might be looking at a damaged display assembly possibly caused by the drop. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

S6 Edge Retrieving Data From When Screen Is Smashed

Problem: Hi, My Samsung edge s6 screen is smashed. When I plug it in, it turns on but has streaks across some of the screen & the rest is just black.. My computer isn’t reading it either, I’ve also tried calling it to only get the voicemail. My question is, can I still retrieve my data from it or give up? Thanks!

Solution: You can still retrieve the phone data however you will have to replace the defective components of the phone in order for it to work normally. Start by having the display assembly replaced as this is the most obvious component that is damaged. It’s best if you have this done at a service center.

S6 Edge Is On But Screen Is Black

Problem: Good day, My Galaxy S6 edge is on but the screen is totally black; how can I fix it? There’s still sound when I press the volume up and down, but it’s screen is just totally black. It also gets hot when it’s being charge. Can you help me with this. Please reply, thanks.

Related Problem: Hi there I’ve got a s6 edge and it won’t come on, well it turns on and off I can hear it in the background the blue led comes on the sound works what could my problem be

Solution: The black screen can either be caused by a connection problem between the display and the motherboard or a malfunctioning display assembly. Try starting the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then you should consider doing a factory reset from here since this could be a software related problem. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If the screen doesn’t work even in recovery mode then I suggest that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Screen Cracked Buttons Not Working

Problem: So i dropped my Galaxy s6 edge on a sidewalk (with case) and the screen cracks. Then i thought that only the glass was messed up but a few days later the two buttons next to my home button doesn’t work at all. Can u plz help me.

Solution: What you will need to do first in this case is to check if an app you installed recently is causing the problem. Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the buttons work in this mode. If it does then the problem could be caused by a third party app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then you should consider doing a factory reset to eliminate the possibility of this issue being caused by a glitch in the phone software. You should backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then this might be a side effect of the screen crack. I suggest that you have this checked at a service center if this is the case.

S6 Edge Green Lines On Screen

Problem: I have constant green lines on the left of the screen on my s6 edge sometimes 2 some time more , I have not dropped or hit it.

Solution: There are two ways to fix this problem and both involve checking the phone software.

First, try to check if an app is causing this problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the problem doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

Second, if the above step fails to fix the problem then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If after the reset the problem still occurs then this could already be caused by a malfunctioning display assembly. I recommend that you have the phone checked at a service center if this is the case.
