The #Samsung #Galaxy #S6EdgePlus is the bigger brother to the #S6Edge. While the S6 Edge only has a 5.1 inch display this model comes with a 5.7 inch display making the phone a great multimedia device. Because of its large display the phone also has a bigger build which might not be a good choice for people looking for a compact device. S6 Edge Plus Not Charging With Fast Charger
Problem: My phone won’t charge with the fast charger. It will charge using a different charger but not the brand new fast charger made for my phone
Solution: For this particular issue you should try cleaning the charging port of your phone first using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris that might be stuck in this port. Once this is done try charging the phone again. Use a different charging cord if the issue remains.
In case the above steps doesn’t fix the problem then you should try using a different fast charger as the one that you are currently using could be faulty.
S6 Edge Plus Not Turning On After Nougat Update
Problem: Dear Droid Guys I have been using my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus for last few months with full satisfaction. The day before yesterday I updated it into Nougat 7.0. After updating it was all good for a day. I was happy with the update and using it without any trouble. But in the next night while sleeping I left it beside my pillow turning on the data connection with approximately 50% charge and in the morning when I woke up the phone was dead. I plugged it in into the charger but it just showed the thunder icon but not the green battery icon what shows percentage. Since then I tried different chargers which is working on other phone but same result. The phone getting very lightly warm with just showing the black and white thunder icon constantly. But still not showing the green battery icon with percentage. I left it for several hours with the charger connected. I tried all powering up options like safe mode, recovery mode, soft reset etc. It seems that my phone is all dead nothing happening with any attempt. Though I don’t have much idea about electronics it seems to me like either the battery isn’t getting charged or after being drained entirely or the android system totally down. My finger is crossed hope that nothing happens with the hardware of my beloved phone. Looking forward to hear from you guys. Thanks a lot for supporting us. Really appreciate you all.
Solution: It does look like this might already be a hardware related problem seeing that you have already performed most of the troubleshooting steps that needs to be done for this particular problem. However, you should try performing the additional steps listed below and check if the problem gets fixed.
- Perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Charge the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger that have been tested to work on another device.
- Try to check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port. If it charges this way then the problem could be caused by a damaged pin in the charging port. You will need to have this checked at a service center.
If the phone still does not charge or turn on even after performing the steps listed above then you will have to bring this to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Plus Overheated Then Went Blank
Problem: Hello, i was sitting outside for 30 mins with my Galaxy S6 Edge +, and it said overheated and went blank. I was fumbling with it and dropped it from a sitting position. Now it wont charge, and holding the volume key and power key is doing nothing. Can someone help?
Solution: what you will want to do first in this case is to perform a simulated battery pull bypressng and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Normally, the phone will restart after this. If it doesn’t then you will need to charge the phone as the battery might be drained. Follow the steps listed below to charge the phone.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
- Charge your phone using a different charging cord and wall charger that have been tested to work on another device.
- Try to check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
If the phone does not charge or does not turn on then the problem could be caused by a faulty hardware component. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
S6 Edge Plus Not Turning On After Overnight Charging
Problem: Went to sleep put phone on charge woke up phone wouldnt turn on and wont charge i have tried everything this only occured after i just did the update My phone is a samsung s6 edge plus can you tell me what the problem might be
Solution: What you will want to do right now is to simulate a battery pull by pressing and holding the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If it doesn’t then try charging the phone for 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. Once the battery has sufficient charge then try turning on the phone.
In case the issue persists then this could already be caused by a faulty battery or power IC. The best thing to do in this case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Plus Keeps On Downloading Software Update
Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus ando when I try do a software update it goes through all the process and when it turns back on it pops up again saying to download the new software. And I’ve tried like 6 times and still hasn’t work.
Solution: Is the update that your phone is prompting you to get a different version from what is installed? If it is then this might be a legitimate update in which case you should proceed with the installation process. In case the version is the same this could be caused by a software glitch. You will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset to fix this problem.
