S6 Wi-Fi Keeps Dropping

Problem: I have a Samsung s6 and my Wifi keeps dropping in and out. It drops out after about 5 minutes of being connecting and then will sometimes reconnect itself or I have to reconnect it manually in the settings. I’ve tried deleting the cache in recovery mode and then starting in safe mode with no luck. My mobile data works fine. Please help!

Related Problem: the Wi-Fi on my galaxy s6 active keeps disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. I know it is not the router because I’ve had multiple other devices running fine on the same router.

Solution: Have you tried checking if this issue occurs when your phone is connected to a different Wi-Fi network? This is the best way to check if the problem is caused by the current router or your phone itself. In case the issue occurs when your phone is connected to a different Wi-Fi network then you need to follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Forget the Wi-Fi network from your phone. Restart the device then connect to the Wi-Fi network again. Check if the issue still occurs.
  • Consider doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet but instead try to check first if the issue still occurs.

S6 Call Can’t Be Heard When On Wi-Fi

Problem: Hi I’ve just have bought WiFi at home and connected my samsung galaxy s6 to it but now when I call people and go on hands free they cannot hear me at all. I switch hands free off and they hear me clear again . Before having WiFi it always worked even on public hands free. Please can you help me.

Solution: What you will want to do is to verify if the Wi-Fi connection is indeed causing this problem by turning off the Wi-Fi switch of the phone then check if the issue still occurs.

In case the problem still occurs then this could already be caused by a hardware issue possibly the microphone acting up when the handsfree is activated. What you will want to do right now is to isolate the possible factors that can cause this issue by following the troubleshooting steps listed below. Check if the issue still occurs after performing a step and if it does then proceed to the next step.

  • Make sure that the volume level is set to its maximum level when making a call in handsfree mode.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app that you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Clear the cache and data of the phone app from the application manager
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

In case the problem does not occur when the Wi-Fi switch is off then it’s very likely that the Wi-Fi connection is causing the problem. You should try connecting your phone to a different Wi-Fi network then check if the same issue still occurs. This way you can check if your current Wi-Fi connection is causing the problem. You should also check that you are making a call using the stock phone app and not a third party app.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Not Remembering Wi-Fi Passwords

Problem: Samsung Galaxy S6 does not remembers wifi passwords, I am unable to manage the networks and always got to log in with a password. Soft and hard reset did not solved the issue.

Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the phone still does not remember Wi-Fi passwords then there’s a possibility that the secure storage area of the phone is corrupt. This is the area where sensitive information such as Wi-Fi passwords are stored. To fix this problem you should consider flashing your phone with its updated stock firmware file using Odin. You can download the firmware file of your phone from the Sammobile website. You will also find the instructions on how to flash your phone from this website.

S6 Wi-Fi Switch Does Not Turn On

Problem: When i go to my wifi it won’t even activate it says turning on then it automatically turns back off even after i did a factory rest

Solution: If a factory reset doesn’t fix the problem then it’s very likely that the Wi-Fi chip of the phone is already faulty. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Not Opening Websites

Problem: On my Samsung Galaxy S6 for at least one month already can’t open a website. I was using before many times on same phone. Was opening by clicking links in emails from affiliates and also just opening in Chrome browser. Now none of these are working and showing Error 404. Also other issue, very often have bad data/internet signal and very often even with quite good signal messages in Facebook Messenger are not going through.

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check with another device ( preferably a computer) if the websites that you are trying to open can be accessed. Sometimes the page you are trying to open might have moved or has been removed which is why the error message occurs. If you can access the website from another device then the problem is most likely caused by your phone which we will be troubleshooting by following the steps listed below.

  • Since you are using the Chrome browser then try clearing the cache and data of this browser from the application manager first.
  • You also need to check if the Internet connection is causing the problem by connecting your phone to a different Wi-Fi network.
  • Try to check if the issue occurs when the phone is started in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S6 Mobile Data Is Slow

Problem: Mobile data super slow or not working at all and I show having 4G. Correct APN, not over my data allowance. Cleared Cache, turned off & back on, hard reboot, updated, and factory reset the phone. Still not working. SIM card works perfectly on another phone. Provider says my phone is the problem. No problems with Wifi.

Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset and even checked the SIM card on another phone then this could already be a hardware related problem. You need to bring this phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Wi-Fi Stopped Working

Problem: Hi There, I own a Samsung S6 which over the last number of days the wifi has stopped working/ it wont show wifi availability around the phone, bluetooth wont connect, my back button will not work either. The phone other than that is working perfectly, I have reset the phone but to no avail. I have recently updated my Samsung could this be the issue? Also there seems to be another update available but I cannot update as I cant use wifi. If you have any idea that would be great.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. If you are unable to turn on the Wi-Fi switch after the reset then this could already be caused by a faulty Wi-Fi chip. You will need to bring the phone to a service center if this is the case.
