Note 5 Google Keyboard Missing After Nougat Update

Problem: I have the Galaxy Note 5 with Sprint. After the Nougat update my keyboard switched from the google keyboard to the samsung keyboard. I want to switch back to the google keyboard but I’ve searched all over and it seems like they got rid of the google keyboard option. Please help thx

Solution: Apps don’t normally go missing after a software  update unless of course the app in question has already been replaced with an improved version. In this case however you are using the Gboard which is a third party keyboard made by Google. If this keyboard is not found among the choices of keyboards to be used on your phone then this might have been deleted during the update process which is strange since it should not be happening. What you should do right now is to access the Google Play Store and just download the Gboard app again.

Problem: Text messages displaying in wrong order. Person I’m texting responses are all on the left and mine are grouped on the left. Their time stamp is wrong also. It’s crazy and I can’t figure out how to reinstall messenger.

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that the time and date of your phone is being acquired automatically from your network.

If your phone is running on Marshmallow

  • Tap General management.
  • Tap Date and time.
  • Tap Automatic date and time to select the check box

If you have already set thisand the issue still persists then proceed with the following troubleshooting steps listed below. After performing each step make sure to check if the issue still occurs and if it still does then you need to move to the next step.

  • Clear the cache and data of the messaging app.
  • Check if the issue occurs when your phone is started in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 5 No Calls or Texts Arriving After Software Update

Problem: Since the software update it hasn’t been letting any of my calls or text messages come people say that it ring but it doesn’t show on the phone

Solution: What you will want to do first right now is to restart the phone. This will refresh the phone software as well as the connection to the network. Once the phone has fully started check if the phone has a signal. If the phone has a strong signal then have someone call or text you. Problem: Ok so picture text that I have received a few days ago are now gone not all but most. I have not deleted them they are just gone please help

Solution: The first thing that you will want to check in this case is if the message auto deletion feature of the phone is activated. You can manage this from the Messages settings. Make sure that the delete old messages option is unchecked.

If this is a software glitch the best way to proceed is to perform the following steps listed below.

  • Clear the cache and data of the text messaging app.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
