Note 4 Turns Off On Its Own

Problem: I have a samsung note 4 and it turns off on its own whenever it wants to and i have to put it on the charger to let it charge for a little bit and then i’m able to turn it back on. I have changed the battery to a new one i don’t know what else to do

Solution: If replacing the battery does not fix the problem then try removing the microSD card of your phone if you have one installed as this could cause this particular issue sometimes. Your other option is to check if a software glitch is causing this by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component. You will need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

Note 4 Turns Off Only Vibrates When Turning On

Problem: Samsung galaxy note 4 Turned itself off today. Every time I turned it on, it would vibrate. Then a blue light comes on changing from dark blue to light blue. Soft restart and safe mode does the same thing. Try recovery mode and it vibrates as well but then nothing happens at all. Any solutions to what would cause it? Thanks for your time.

Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to make sure that the battery of your phone has sufficient charge to turn on the device. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to charge your phone.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air.
  • When charging the phone try using a different charging cord and wall charger. Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes making sure that the charging indicator is present.
  • If the phone does not charge then try charging it from a computer USB port.
  • Try getting a new battery then check if the phone turns on or charges.
  • If the phone does not turn on or charge then you will have to bring this to a service center and have it checked.

If the phone is able to charge then you should try turning it on. If the phone doesn’t turn on then follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Remove the battery and microsD card ( if you have one installed) then press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear out its RAM. Reinsert just the battery then turn on the phone.
  • If your phone does not turn on then try starting it in recovery mode. From here you will need to do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
  • If the issue persists then you need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Getting Notifications But Screen Is Black

Problem: So i have a note 4 that and the screen does not work but it will turn on i will get my notifications the notification light will blink i can charge it but nothing will happen on the screen

Solution: There’s a possibility that the display of the phone is faulty which is why all you see is a black screen but then the notifications are still working. The troubleshooting step that you can do for this particular problem is to start the phone on recovery mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then there’s a possibility that a software glitch is causing the problem. If this is the case then you need to do a factory reset in recovery mode. If the issue still occurs even in recovery mode then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Will Not Recognize Charging Cord

Problem: Note 4 will not recognize multiple cords while powered on. When shut off and connected to cord, the phone will pulse vibrate every other second with nothing shown on screen. Plus, it just began indicating it was connected to usb with no cord connected every so often.

Solution: It looks like the problem is caused by either a faulty charging port assembly or power IC. What you should do in this case is to clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. If the issue still occurs after this then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset to check if a software glitch is causing the problem.

If the above steps fails to fix the issue then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Lags And Freezes

Problem: So I had my note 4 and it had battery issues I ignored them and have ordered a new one. Although it isn’t installed there has been a new problem starting today. So the phone was perfect except front the battery issue and then I was going to my class and I turned it off and charged it. It’s showed android is downloading and left it. 6 hours later I return and it’s the same. I interrupt it by removing the battery. And when I use it it lags and freezes like how apple fanboys describe samsung I like the phone but if this continues then I’m selling it

Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it has one then try removing it as this could be causing the problem.

If your phone does not have a microSD card installed or if the issue still occurs even when the microSD card is removed then you will have to backup your phone data and do a factory reset.

Note 4 Turns Off With Battery Power Left

Problem: Hi. I love My galaxy note 4 .purchased a new Samsung battery, still even when it at 40 or 50 % charge it dies on me…don’t know what to do; and also need help in purchasing portable bank charger… Many thanks. What to do to upgrade the cell.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this might already be caused by a failing power IC. You need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Not Turning On After Drop

Problem: Dropped Samsung Note 4. Phone went off, unable to get phone on again. Screen black with blue light at upper left side of phone. Phone completely unresponsive

Solution: what you should do first in this case is to try charging the phone first for at least 20 minutes then turn on the phone with the charger still connected. If it still remains unresponsive then try using a new battery on your phone. If the issue still persists then the problem could already be hardware related. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

Note 4 Not Fast Charging

Problem: My phone is not fast charging and not connecting to my pc, I change the charging port and the problem continues am frustrated and don’t  know what to do please help me.

Solution: Try replacing the USB cord that you are using to charge the phone or connect it to a computer. If this still fails to fix the problem then perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing a reset.

Should the problem persist then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

  1. My note 4 was having issues of rebooting on its own. I tried several ways trying to fix the problem. It wasn’t until I removed the battery and the sd card, held the power button for a period of time clearing the ram. I only installed the battery and powered up, found to it to have fixed the issue.
