S7 Edge Bootloop After Software Downgrade

Problem: I just downgraded from nougat to marshmallow now my phone won’t startup. It goes to the Samsung screen then it shuts off then keeps repeating over and over again.

Solution: For this particular case you should check first if the problem is caused by the battery or some power related issue. Connect your phone to its charger. Make sure that the charging indicator is present before turning on your phone. If your phone turns on and the bootloop issue disappears then its either the battery does not have sufficient charge ( in which case you just need to charge the phone) or the battery or power IC of the phone has an issue ( in which case you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked).

If the phone still continues with the bootloop problem even when it is connected to its charger then there might have been a problem when you performed the software downgrade. I suggest that you flash your phone software again to fix this problem.

S7 Edge Fast Charge Option Missing After Software Update

Problem: Since the software update I cannot locate where the fast charge option is. It used to be easily found on settings and you turned it on or off depending on your needs. Is this no longer the case??

Solution: If your phone is now running on Nougat then there has been some changes done on the Settings menu. To access the fast charging option go to Settings – Device Maintenance – Tap on Battery – Tap on Menu ( this is the three dots that you see on the upper right side of the screen) – Under the Charging option the switches for Fast Cable Charging as well as Fast Wireless Charging are present.

S7 Edge Went Black

Problem: Is was on facebook and was acting slow so i tried to back out of it nothing happened so i tapped the back button couple more times and phone went black. I tried rebooting but nothing. Plugged it in and no lights. What can i do?

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to simulate a battery pull. This can be done by pressing and holding both the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Normally your phone should restart after this.

If there is no response from your phone then charge it for at least 20 minutes then repeat the step that you did above.

In case the phone will not charge then follow the steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
  • Try charging your phone using a different charging cord and wall charger.
  • Try charging your phone from a computer USB port.
  • Try using a wireless charger to charge your phone.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Freezing Restarting Constantly

Problem: My s7 edge has been freezing and restarting constantly to the point that i can’t use it for 5 minutes. i hard restart and the same thing happens. I tried everything from wiping the cache to doing a factory reset and nothing helped. I decided to reinstall the firmware and when it came back on i started the setup process then it froze and died. Now its not responding at all, wont charge, hard reset, safe mode nothing is working. i really don’t know what to do. Thanks for your help in advance

Solution: What you can do right now is to make sure that the battery of your phone has at least 70% or 80% charge in it then reinstall or flash the firmware file of your phone. It’s best if you download a fresh version of the phone firmware file from the Sammobile website. Also, make sure to remove the microSD card of your phone ( if your phone has one installed) as this card could be causing the freezing and restart issue that you are experiencing with your device.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Turned Off Does Not Turn Back On

Problem: I have Samsung galaxy s7 edge suddenly switch off and not turn on again. I tried to press switch key button and power off button at the same time . It restarted only for 5 minutes with hot . And after that til now  not working .Will You help me to solve this problem.

Related Problem: I have Samsung 7 Edge Phone that was bought for me in Canada by my brother in law but I live in Melbourne, Australia. From day one I have problem with this device. Since having it opened to use in Australia, I had issue with heating, switching it on or off, screen on off on its own etc. etc. I travelled to Fiji some 2 weeks ago and had switched off the phone. I switched on few days ago to check my messages. Since it got switched off itself and won’t switch on again. Put on the charger, no lights comes up.

Solution: For this particular issue you will need to do a simulated battery pull. Press and hold the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If your phone does not restart then try charging it for at least 20 minutes then repeat the previous step.

You should also check if the phone can start in recovery mode. If you are able to access this mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the issue persists then I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Is Blinking Green

Problem: The phone is blinking sorta green this green blink is going up aND down the screen. If I try taking it off the screen goes blank. Then if I press the menu button it light up just for me to see that there are messages it’s notifying messages also but when I tried calling it I don’t see or hear anything from it

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem. To do this just start your phone in Safe Mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then the problem could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the issue still occurs in Safe Mode or if you are unable to access Safe Mode then try booting your phone in recovery mode. From here you should do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Solution: Try to check if you are able to start your phone in recovery mode. From here you should do a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data. If the problem still persists or if you are unable to start the phone in recovery mode then you should try flashing your phone with its updated firmware file. You can get the instructions on how to flash your phone as well as the firmware file of your device from the Sammobile website.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it  checked.
