S7 Not Responding To Charger
Problem: hi. My Samsung galaxy s7 wont turn on or respond to the charger. I’ve had it for a while now but not quite a year. i know the charger is working because i tried it on a different Samsung. my cell phone was working today as well. at the end of the day it kinda just shut itself off. i thought it was dead so i put it on the charger and left it for an hour. when i got back it still wouldn’t turn on. I’ve noticed also that it’s been getting really hot and i’m afraid it will blow up in me. is there anything i can do to get it back on and what should i do about the heat. please help i love this phone. I’ve tried other websites that just try to get me to buy a new one but i just want to see if i can’t fix the problem first.
Solution: In this type of issue where the phone does not respond to charging and gets hot the first thing that you should do is to disconnect it from the charger. Carefully inspect the charging port of the phone for any signs of damage. Any visible damages might cause a short circuit which could cause the phone to heat up. If the port seems fine then proceed with cleaning it using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Once this is done attempt to do a battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Normally, the phone should restart after this.
Next, try charging the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger. If the issue remains then check if the phone charges through a computer USB port. You should also check if the phone can charge wirelessly.
- If the phone charges from a computer USB port then one of the pins of the charging port is faulty. You need to have this checked at a service center.
- If the phone charges wirelessly then it’s possible that the charging port of the phone is defective. Have this checked at a service center.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Red LED Light Flashing
Problem: I was busy playing games, when my phone froze and wont turn back on, i have a red led light flashing. its also not a new game that i have just downloaded, it a game i have been playing every day for the past month already
Solution: The red flashing LED light means that the phone is either low in battery power or it is connected to a charger but it isn’t charging. Since the issue occurred while you were playing a game then chances are your phone might just need charging. Connect your phone to its wall charger and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. Before turning on your phone do a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.
S7 Black Screen Of Death
Problem: I have owned my Samsung S7 for 11 months. It has had the black screen of death 3 times. Once not too long after purchase. I took it back to the service supplier and they fixed it. I asked what was wrong and they said this happens sometimes. It happened again about 10 months in and I plug back in pushed random buttons and it worked the next day But the day after I got the black screen again. I took it to the service supplier(different town) and they told me about the volume, home and power buttons and that fixed it immediately. Since the phone is still within warranty I contacted Samsung and they have given me forms to send for repair. The issue is I will be without a phone for at least 2 months. My question is is it worth sending away? Has this issues been “fixed” or should I just keep it and continue with the volume down home power fix. I think I have the version correct it states 6.0.1 but I don’t see Marshmallow.
Solution: The black screen issue that you are experiencing with your phone could either be caused by a software or hardware problem. If this is just a software related problem then there’s no need to send it in for repairs as you can fix the problem on your own by doing a factory reset. Just make sure to backup your phone data before performing the reset. If the issue still occurs after the reset then this is most likely a hardware problem already in which case you will have to send it for repairs. My suggestion is that you should take advantage of the warranty of your phone and send it in for repairs. It’s best to send it now while it is still under warranty than to have problems later on when the warranty has expired.
S7 Unresponsive Recent Apps Key
Problem: Hi, Thank you for reading my problem. The “recent apps key” only works when I press hard on it (the back key is fine). It used to work, but started acting this way a few weeks ago. I just upgraded to Nougat and it did not fix the problem. I booted in safe mode and it did not work there, either. Thanks again
Solution: Try backing up your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete check if the recent app keys is responsive. If it isn’t then this is could already be a hardware related problem. You will need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Dead Android With Caution Sign
Problem: My phone will need to a forward update. I download them and everything goes smoothly. Then when it gets to restarting my phone with the blue screen and Android, it only reaches 30% then shows a dead android with a caution sign. It’s done this since the day I got the phone.
Solution: It looks like the update process corrupted the phone software. You should try to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If this doesn’t work then you will need to flash the updated firmware file of your phone. Download the firmware file from the Sammobile website. You will also find instructions on how to flash your phone in that website.
S7 Stuck On AT&T Screen
Problem: So I have a Galaxy S7 that’s rooted. I decided to get Xposed (which I ignored the warning saying something about touchwiz and problems occurring on my phone) and as soon as I rebooted my phone, everything went downhill. My phone screen would be stuck on the AT&T loading screen. I tried factory resetting my phone and clearing the cache, but it didn’t work. I tried flashing the stock firmware on Odin, but it would give me errors. And when I try to flash the root again, it wouldn’t fix the issue.
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing this as this could be causing the problem. You should also flash your phone again but this time try using a different USB cord and different computer.
