Note 4 Turns Off On Its Own

Problem: My phone usually turns off on its own at around 50-is % Afterwards, it keeps turning off and on without fully showing the lock screen untIl a charger is plugged I have tried to factory reset this phone It also has issues when plugging it in a power bank. To be specific, the battery drains slowly instead of charging. Would a root or a custom romantic fix these issues? Good luck fixing.

Solution: It’s very unlikely that rooting the phone or installing a custom ROM will fix this issue. The best thing to do right now is to try to replace the phone battery with a new one. Once the new battery is installed try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then this could already be caused by an internal component that is failing to work. I suggest that you have this checked at a service center.

Note 4 Not Turning On

Problem: I recently had a battery issue in my note 4 and I bought a new power bear note 4 battery from amazon.. The very first day it works perfectly. Now today my phone is completely dead.. It is not even turning up .. I even tried my previous old battery and let it charge for some time but nothing works.. It is not even booting. Any help would be highly appreciated.. Thanks

Solution: It looks like the power IC of the phone could be malfunctioning. To troubleshoot this problem you will have to eliminate the possibility of this issue being caused by a battery that doesn’t have any charge. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to fix this issue.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris that could be stuck in this port.
  • Insert the old battery in your phone then charge it using a different st of charging cord and wall charger. If there is no response after 20 minutes then try charging the phone using a computer USB port.
  • Insert the new battery in your phone then charge it using a different st of charging cord and wall charger. If there is no response after 20 minutes then try charging the phone using a computer USB port.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then there might be a problem with the power IC of your phone. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

Note 4 Black Screen Does Not Turn On

Problem: I bought my samsung Note 4 from AT&T company. It did not come with warranty or anything whatsoever. My screen is black, the phone doesn’t ring, no notif  light, just generally unresponsive. I tried taking battery out and re inserting, it just wont turn on i tried every method samsung suggested. One minute it was okay with notif light but black screen, as soon as i took the back battery off and re inserted nothing worked at all it’s been a week now

Solution: The problem could be caused by the battery itself. Try charging this battery first for at least 20 minutes then turn on the phone. If the issue persists then try getting a new battery. Should the issue persist even with a new battery then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Does Not Start

Problem: Hey, I cleared the cache of my Note 4 and restarted it from the recovery. Unfortunately it didn’t restart and just switched off, so I tried going back into recovery, and tried going into the download mode as well but nothing happened. I removed the battery and then tried going into recovery but after switching on for a second, the screen turned black. I tried everything after that but my mobile just stays dead, doesn’t charge, no light switches on; basically nothing happens. I have also tried discharging the phone many times but nothing seems to work. Thank you

Solution: You should try changing the battery of your phone with a new one. If the phone does not respond even with a new battery installed then this could already be caused by a faulty internal component. I recommend that you should have this checked at a service center.

Note 4 Battery Level Erratic When Charging

Problem: Dear Support Team, Thank you for this forum. I stay in UAE. I use Du network. From past 4 months i am experiencing very bad issue with my Samsung Note4. I am able to charge the phone till 65 %. But sometimes when i switched off and and then switched on again, it shows 80%. One more issue is phone dies suddenly when it reaches 25%.  I tried changing the battery but still the issue persists. I tried factory reset to my mobile but still i face the same issue. I am unable to figure out what is happening to my mobile. Is this a known issue for samsung Note 4? I see many updates in many blogs that samsung note 4 is known for its battery issue. Kindly give some suggestions so that i will go through all steps. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks and Regards

Solution: Since you already replaced the battery and performed a factory reset which doesn’t fix the problem then it’s possible that this is already caused by an internal component that is failing to work. I recommend that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Lagging And Rebooting

Problem: I have had my Samsung Note 4 for about a year.  It has been lagging on some apps and the last day or so it has started just rebooting.  At first it was ok as just turned back on but now it is getting difficult to get it to come back on.  I have tried fully charging on it’s fast charger then turning on this works now and again, but soon goes off again.  It just seems to get stuck on the SAMSUNG screen.  Could it be the battery?  Is there anything I can do to sort this out.  I’m not sure what android version it is on. Thanks

Related Problem: Hey I have a galaxy note 4 and just recently got it unlocked, I got it switched over to my carrier and was working fine up until last night when it suddenly turned off and restarted itself but only to find that it is now stuck in a boot loop, any suggestions? *Not too sure what android version it may be so chose random one*

Solution: It’s possible that the problem could be caused by a faulty battery. You can try replacing this with a new one. If the issue still persists then do the following troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Remove the microSD card ( if one is installed) and battery. Press and hold the power button. This will discharge the phone circuit. Reinsert just the battery then check if the issue still occurs.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will delete your phone data.

If the above steps don’t fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Battery Drains Quickly

Problem: So I charge my note 4 to 100% and it will start to drain down, if I take out the battery and put it back in, start the phone up, the charge goes back up again. Sometimes after doing all that, if I take out the battery and put it back in again then the charge goes back down again. It even overheats the phone too. Can someone help me please?

Solution: You should try checking first if the phone software is causing this problem by backing up your phone data then doing a factory reset. Once the reset is complete don’t install anything in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you should try replacing the battery with a new one. If the issue still occurs even with a new battery installed then you should have your phone checked at a service center.

  1. Phone turns off randomly….usually around the 40-10% mark and the only way it will restart is if I charge it, annoying, was thinking about h=getting a new phone but I like my note 4……at first I thought it was the battery which also drains quickly….I have put a new battery in which doesn’t seem to hold its charge the same….I haven’t done anything else to the phone but need help as its very frustrating especially when Im about to take a photo….
