S6 Shuts Down Doesn’t Work
Problem: My phone, samsung galaxy s6 shut down and doesn’t work. It was always trouble to charge this phone, sometimes it was charging so slowly, after whole night it was 26% and etc, but right now it is just dead Please help me to troubleshoot. It has reaction when i am blowing in a port and after that phone starting charging but turning off immediately.
Solution: For issues such as this it’s always best to start the troubleshooting by making sure that the charging port of the phone is clear of any debris or dirt. Clean the port using a can of compressed air. Once this is done try charging the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger that is known to work. Check if the phone has a charging indicator and if the battery percentage increases. Turn on your phone. If the phone still does not turn on or charge properly then I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Turned Off When Dropped
Problem: I read on your website that you can ask phone questions here. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 that turned off when I dropped it (this has happened several times. It will show that it is charging when I put it on the charger. When it got full, it would blink the grey battery icon, and it would go in intervals of 10 seconds between lighting up, following by two 5 second intervals between light ups. It cycles through this. I’ve tried various manual resets (power+volume down, pwr+vol. down+home, etc…) Any recommendations?
Solution: Have you tried starting the phone in recovery mode? If you can access this mode then I suggest that you perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
Should the issue persist then I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked as some internal component might have been affected by the drop.
S6 Randomly Turns Off Or On
Problem: Hi. I hope you can help me with this. Recently I noticed my galaxy s6 (4 months old and no problems) was switched off – power fully off. I hadn’t switched it off and it had never done this before. I switched it back on, battery was 65%, then I switched it off again and left it about 3 hours. Next time I looked at it, it was back on again. Could this happen randomly or is it more likely that someone else has turned it off and back on? Thanks
Solution: If no other person has access to your phone then the problem could be caused by some phone glitch. Try starting the phone in Safe Mode then observe if you experience the same issue in this mode. If your phone works normally in this mode with no problems then the issue could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the issue occurs even in Safe Mode then try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. What this does is it erases the temporary system data which if corrupt can cause this problem.
One last troubleshooting step that you should consider is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
If after the reset the issue remains then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Not Turning On After Drop
Problem: The other night I dropped my galaxy s6 the blue notification light it’s pulsating from blue to lighter color. I’ve tried holding the power button and down button also with the up button and home key nothing has worked I got it to charge the slightest bit and have the charging light and Everytime I do hear it start up it cuts off in the middle of the sound and it’s still completely black, I don’t feel like this fall could have broke my phone because with my previous s6 it withstood so much more torture
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check if a glitch in the software is causing the problem by starting the phone in recovery mode. If you can access this mode then I recommend that you do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data so you should have a backup copy of it.
If the above step fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Overheated Won’t Charge
Problem: S6 says overheated and won’t charge. The phone is quite cold to touch. I’ve used several wires and 3 different plugs. doesn’t find phone on laptop. Plug In looks like charging then 5 seconds watercraft charge overheated.
Solution: Try restarting the phone then check if the issue still remains. If it does then follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of your phone making sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in it.
- Try charging the phone using different charging cords and chargers.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset don’t install any app yet. Check first if your phone will charge.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
