S6 Reboots Randomly Then Gets Stuck In Boot Logo
Problem: Hi, so i have this issue, my galaxy s6 international (6.0.1 marshmallow) one day out of nowhere it rebooted itself and gets stuck in the Samsung galaxy s6 powered by android state and it shows a white led light, it doesn’t blink it’s just shining, and every time i try to boot it up, it stays on for 10 seconds and then it repeats the whole process( then i have to press the power and volume down button to restart and boot it into safe mode in order to get the device On),i tried entering recovery mode did a factory reset and nothing, reinstalled the software using Odin and also nothing, tried using smart switch initialization also nothing help please
Solution: Since you already performed a factory reset and even flashed the phone software using Odin which didn’t fix the problem then this is most likely a hardware related issue already. It’s very likely that some component inside the phone is failing to work. I recommend that you bring this device to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Difficulty Connecting To The Network
Problem: I purchased a Refurbished Galaxy S6 for my daughter for Christmas. It was purchased in early November, then put away until Christmas, so it was out of the return timetable before we ever turned it on. It was purchased as an unlocked GSM phone, so we should have been able to use on our carrier (ATT). When we took the phone in for activation on the day after Christmas, we had a lot of trouble. First, it was taking ages to connect to the network, timing out on the initial setup numerous times. The technician, on about the third try after resetting, started the setup process by inserting the SIM card, hoping it would help the phone grab some signal. We continued to have difficulty, at one point the tech used her personal phone to check the settings on this one, which all appeared correct. Finally, at some point it connected, but only on 3G. It won’t ever connect on 4g or LTE. I’ve contacted the selling website, and it was sold through a third party seller. This seller has sold out of this model phone, so replacement isn’t an option. I would, at this point like to fix this phone if it’s possible. If not, they are offering a refund, but I am not sure what I would do for another phone at the price I paid for this one. This has been pretty frustrating.
Solution: Since this is a newly acquired phone I suggest you do a factory reset first. If you have any data stored in the phone make sure to have his backed up. Once the reset is done take out its SIM card then set aside the phone first. Insert the SIM card in another phone then check if it is getting an LTE signal. If it is then reinsert the SIM back to the S6 then turn on the phone. Try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you should consider sending this back to the seller as this cold already be a hardware related problem which is going to cost you if you have it repaired.
S6 Software Update Is Temporarily Available
Problem: I have purchased a pre owned Samsung S6 phone from a local dealer in Dubai UAE. Earlier the phone was used by Verizon US. Now I am unable to ‘System Update’. I keep getting message ” software update is temporarily unavailable. Try again later. Also I am unable to download few apps from Play store like s note etc which says my phone is not compatible for the app. Please help at your earliest.
Solution: There are several conditions that your phone must meet in order for it to be able to get the official software update.
- If this is an unlocked phone then it should be running on its original network so that is can access its update servers.
- The phone should not be rooted.
- The phone should not be running on a custom software.
Since your phone is originally a Verizon device then this is one of the reasons why you are unable to get the latest software update. You should then try to use Kies or Smart Switch to update your phone. If this still does not work then you should consider manually flashing the updated firmware file. Instructions on how to flash your phone can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.
S6 Software Update Install Was Interrupted
Problem: When I attempt to update my phone from 5.1.1 to the newest firmware, it tells me that the “Install was interrupted”. I’ve formatted the cache in recovery, enabled all AT&T apps/bloatware, and even set the time to one day ahead. I absolutely need this new update so I can have wifi calling due to my home not being in AT&T’s coverage zone.
Solution: Try backing up your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete try checking for the update again. If the same issue occurs then connect your phone to a computer with Kies or Smart Switch installed then let the software update your phone.
S6 Constantly Rebooting
Problem: I have a Samsung S6 from Verizon. had the phone 1 year. did the 20 Dec 2016 software update and now phone is in constant reboot. Verizon told me to push up button, power and center button and perform factory reset. That I did and saw the 2 gears turning on the screen and the phone cycled thru the 32 android is starting optimizing app — it usually restarts about 8 and goes thru the 32 then shuts down and restarts to do it all again. now whenever i try to restart it always comes back to the gear screen.
Solution: Try doing another round of factory reset but this time connect your phone to its charger. Let the phone finish optimizing the apps then check if the issue still occurs.
