S6 Charges Very Slowly Issue

Problem: My Samsung S6 phone had no trouble fast charging a few days ago but recently it started to charge very slowly almost to a point where it would only go up by 5% in 30 minutes. I tried using different cables and adapters but still the same results. Even when my phone is off it seems to charge incredibly slowly. I’m pretty sure its a problem with my phone??

Solution: You should try cleaning the charging port of your phone first using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. If the issue still remains then try to perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete check if the charging problem disappears.

If the issue persists then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked as this could be caused by a faulty battery or faulty charging port.

S6 Suddenly Turned Off Does Not Turn On

Problem: Hey, so I was just waiting for my friends in a pub when suddenly my phone turned off. I thought this may of been just a crash since the game i was playing jittered a bit before said crash. I came home and after trying to soft reset and force reset, but to no avail, tried master resetting. Nothing. It seems as though it is dead as It can be. Is there anything you can advise bar sending it off for repair? Thanks.

Solution: You should try charging your phone first for at least 20 minutes. Before charging your phone make sure to clean the charging port first using a can of compressed air to remove any dirt or debris that could be stuck in this port. If you get no response when charging the phone try the following steps below.

  • Try using a different wall charger and charging cord.
  • Try charging your phone using the USB port of your computer.

If the above steps fail then try performing a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both the power and volume down keys for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.

If the issue persists then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Won’t Switch On

Problem: S6 won’t switch on, black screen with blue led not blinking like described many times, but pulsating brighter and dim. None reset works. When fully charged changes LED to green, but no sign on the screen. After a while goes back to pulsating blue led. Phone and screen dead.

Solution:  This could be a hardware related issue already. Have you tried starting the phone in recovery mode? If the phone starts in this mode then you should try doing a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If the issue remains even in recovery mode then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Stopped Charging

Problem: My phone stopped charging tonight.. first time this happened to me. It’s like I didn’t even plug it in. Tried other chargers .. other cords .. plugging it into my computer nothing is working. I have the s6 and it was 1 yrs old around the end of December. I tried restarting it many times but nothing worked. I’m very frustrated. I’ve never had an issue with any of my other Samsung phones and really like the product. Hope you can help. Not sure what version I’m using.. so in that question I answered “other”

Solution: Try cleaning the charging port of your phone with a can of compressed air. Make sure any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Once this is done try checking if the phone charges. If it doesn’t then you should bring your phone to a service center and have this checked.

S6 Not Recognizing That It Is Being Charged

Problem: It’s not recognising that it’s being charged. I have tried plugging it into my laptop (a macbook) as well as a wall socket, the lightning symbol appears and then goes away. I think this might be due to water damage, because I can reboot it and once it switches on it says there is 0% battery, but when I plug it in there is no sign of it being charged. Shall I take it to a repair shop or just buy a new charger? Many thanks

Solution: You should try using a different charging cord first as sometimes this issue is caused by a faulty cord. Make sure to clean the charging port of your phone first using a can of compressed air before charging the phone so as to remove any dirt or debris that could be stuck in the port.

If the issue remains I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Sometimes Charges Sometimes Doesn’t

Problem: My phone sometimes charges and sometimes doesn’t. When it does it says it takes about 18 hours to charge, I’ve taken out and replaced the battery and removed as many apps as possible, but it doesn’t help.

Solution: For this particular issue you should first eliminate the charger as a factor that can cause this problem by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air.
  • Try using a different charging cord.
  • Try using a different wall charger.

If the issue still persists then this could be caused by an internal component that’s failing to work, possibly the power IC. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

S6 Not Turning On After Charging Overnight

Problem: My partner has a galaxy s6 last night she put her phone on to charge but when she woke this morning the phone has the red light on the top left corner but the screen won’t turn on or show when on charge, we have tried powering on and holding the power and volume but to no avail, what do you think could be the problem?

Solution: Try charging the phone for 20 minutes but this time use a different charging cord and wall charger. If the phone still does not turn on then clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure to remove any dirt or debris that could be stuck in the port. Charge the phone again for 20 minutes. If the phone still does not turn on then you should have it checked at a service center.
