Note 4 Text Messages Don’t Delete Quickly

Problem: I have a Note 4 and have over 7,000 text messages total from many different people. When I try to delete whole conversations or all of the texts my phone just circles and circles and takes hours and then the phone crashes and restarts. I don’t have time to sit and delete 5 or 6 individual texts at a time. I will take me forever! I have tried many different things and nothing works. The texts don’t delete quickly. Even when I try to delete a conversation with only 10 texts it takes like 15 min.  Any suggestions? Thank you so much

Solution: When it takes a long time to delete the text messages of the stock messaging app clearing the cache and data of the said app from the application manager usually fixes the problem. This action will remove the cached data of the app ( which in this case could be a large file) which is causing the deletion of messages to slow down.

If the issue still remains then try starting your phone in Safe Mode then try deleting the text messages in this mode. If the issue doesn’t occur then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

Note 4 Can’t Send Group Text Or Picture Messages

Problem: Note 4, can’t send group texts or picture text. Have tried rest and soft reset. When I press send button I get a pop up at the bottom of my screen that says: unable to send message. Too many unsent multimedia messages. Please help

Solution: There are two possible reasons why this issue is happening. First, you might not have a mobile data subscription. Most carriers require the use of your mobile data when sending or receiving group text or picture messages. Make sure that you have an active mobile data subscription and that the mobile data switch of your phone is on.

Second, your phone should be using the correct APN settings. These settings are network specific so make sure to compare the APN settings of your phone to the one your carrier is using. Make the necessary APN setting changes in your phone if needed.

Note 4 Keyboard Lag After Marshmallow Update

Problem: I have T-Mobile as my network and I have the Galaxy note 4 running an unrooted update they did to my phone which is 6.0.1. It has made my keyboard lock up skip and have a lot of lag. I have gone to settings>samsung keyboard> delete cache and delete data still lags and gets worse. It even happens in fb messenger at times. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Solution: Since you experienced this problem right after a software update then it could be caused by old software data that has not been completely removed during the update process. The best way to fix this is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Not Getting Group Messages

Problem: Hi, i have a note 4 and i noticed every time i am in a group message i don’t get my messages in the group. I thought it was a tmobile thing or maybe that my phone didn’t have this feature. Can you help. When i receive a group message and don’t get to reply all numbers on the original message. I will only get individual texts from each person on the group message rather than being able to see all replies in one message to simplify where the conversation is going. When i reply, only the original sender gets my reply. Not the group.

Solution: It’s either you don’t have the mobile data switch of the phone turned on or your phone doesn’t have the correct APN settings.

Make sure that you have an active mobile data subscription and that your phone has a mobile data signal. You should also check the APN settings of your phone making sure that it is the correct one used by your carrier.
