Note 4 Screen Is Blank
Problem: So i have a samsung galaxy 4 and i was outside one day it was up to 75-90 degrees and when i came back to my home i was about to get on my phone as normal and when i turned it on i heard like my hangout alerts and i heard it ring telling me i got a new message and more alerts for the other of my apps. But my screen was just blank and nothing came on and i do not know what to do and you are my last hope & resort so please help me.!!!!
Solution: For this particular issue the best troubleshooting that you can do is to check if a glitch in the phone software is causing the problem. Start the phone in recovery mode then check if the screen works in this mode. If it does then you will need to perform a factory reset which is done also in this mode. If issue remains even in recovery mode then the problem could either be caused by a damaged display assembly, faulty display controller, or a loose connection between the display and the motherboard. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
Note 4 Screen Went Black After Phone Was Dropped
Problem: Hi. I recently dropped my samsung galaxy note 4 and the screen just went black. even though the phone was still working, I couldn’t see anything. I tried turning it off and restarting it a few times and it finally worked and the screen was back to normal. However, after a few hours or so, while I was trying to remove the cover of my phone, the screen turned black again. I have tried turning it off and on again but it hasn’t worked. P.S I’m not completely sure about the version and carrier
Solution: Since this issue occurred after the phone was dropped then it’s either the display assembly has been damaged by the drop or its connection to the motherboard has loosened. The best way to deal with this issue is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Left Side Of Screen Is Unresponsive
Problem: Hey Guys, I have a Samsung Note 4, “SM-N910A”. For the past 3 months I have been having issues with the screen touch sensor or something. Left side of the screen from top to bottom gets unresponsive and if I lock the phone (using a power button turn the screen off) and turn it back on it works, it clicks on keyboard buttons when i am texting and stuff. Sometimes it works fine but sometimes it doesn’t. Phone was never dropped nor it was thrown on the couch or anything. I am very careful with my phones. I don’t know what to do with this, I am getting really frustrated and I don’t want to get another phone because I don’t like Iphones and I do use my stylus and I would like to resolve the issue any help will be greatly appreciated.
Solution: Does your phone have a screen protector installed? If it does then this could be causing the screen to become unresponsive. Try removing this then check if the issue still occurs. If your phone doesn’t have a screen protector installed or if the issue still occurs even with the screen protector removed then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then you might have downloaded an app that’s causing this problem. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If after performing the steps listed above the issue still occurs then it’s possible that this is caused by a faulty digitizer. You will need to bring your phone to a service center and have this checked.
Note 4 Randomly Restarts While Booting
Problem: Hi, I am using Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from last 2 years; from last couple of weeks phone randomly restarts and sometimes while booting up it gives me screen saying “normal boot could not happen” and it shows screen of something getting downloading and warning to “not shut down the device”. I have tried to keep phone is this situation for couple of hours multiple times but nothing could happen so took battery out and put it again to restart the phone. Then phone starts again normally. However this doesn’t happen after every random restart. I went for factory reset also but even that didn’t help. Pls suggest solution.
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then you should try removing this as this could be causing the problem.
You should also consider flashing your phone with an updated firmware file as the problem could be caused by your current software version. Instructions on how to flash your phone can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.
Note 4 Screen Has Green Vertical Lines
Problem: Putting a new LCD in note four I connected the note to the motherboard to test I had Green vertical line. Disconnected the LCD after powering the device off. I had another note for that I was replacing for that I was replacing the LCD on as well I connected it and power the device on LCD flickered and went black. Digitizer still works nothing I have tried will get it to show. I’ve have tried, safe mode clearing the cache a, I have tried powering it off taking the battery out of the power button for up to five minutes. I have looked for signs of damage no damage found, can you help me with this what is left to do also check diodes for continuity
Solution: What you should do first before diving into troubleshooting the phone is to make sure that the problem isn’t caused by a faulty display. Try getting another display and check it on your phone.
If the same issue occurs then you should proceed with checking the ribbon connector which connect the display to the motherboard. You should also check the display controller on the motherboard if it is working correctly.
Note 4 Stuck On Team One Recovery Project Screen
Problem: Bought a galaxy note 4 off eBay and when I turn it on it stuck on a screen that says team one recovery project I have tried everything but cannot get past this screen please help me
Solution: If you have already tried everything up to the point of doing a factory reset then I suggest you manually flash your phone with its updated stock firmware file. Instructions on how to flash your phone can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.
