Samsung Galaxy S7 Stuck In Booting Phase Issue & Other Related Problems

Today we will tackle the Galaxy S7 stuck in booting phase issue & other related problems. What happens in this case is that the phone doesn’t proceed with the boot up process and usually just gets stuck in the Samsung logo. Aside from this issue we will also tackle other power related problems of this device.

S7 Stuck In Booting Phase

Problem: I have a galaxy s7 that is stuck in the booting phase. It is no longer showing the samsung galaxy s7 logo, it is no longer showing anything except for recovery booting in the left top corner. I have tried rebooting It using the methods given and am not having any luck. It will not turn off at all

Related Problem: Hi. I have had my Samsung galaxy s7 about 2 weeks and all was working fine. Earlier tonight it was coming up that I could not open apps. I restarted the phone just normally and after it Co up Samsung s7….the next screen where it comes up samsung….it just doesn’t load up the next part which would be the main app screen. All it does I just say Samsung over and over again without loading up. It is this until the battery runs out. I have tried a few of the things on this site but still does the same thing trying to load up. HELP please

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to simulate a battery pull. We do a simulation since the battery can’t be easily taken out because it is sealed inside the phone. The battery pull is done by pressing and holding down the power and volume down button simultaneously for at least 12 seconds. You will see various options in the display, press the volume down button to get to the power down option then press on the home key to select it.

If the above step fails to work then try to repeat it but this time with the phone connected to its charger.

If the phone remains unresponsive and doesn’t turn off then you should wait until it has drained its battery. Once the battery is drained the phone will turn off. As soon as the phone is off charge it for at least 20 minutes then start the phone in recovery mode. From here you should wipe the cache partition of your phone. Restart the phone normally and check if the issue gets resolved.

If the problem persists then you should start the phone in recovery mode again then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data so make sure to have a backup copy first before proceeding with this step.

S7 Moisture In Port

Problem: Recently my phone has the error pop up thats says Check port. Moisture has been detected. And states that in order to charge my device make sure the charge port is dry. I haven’t had any wetness get to my phone and there appears to be no water damage at all. I’ve tried to blow dry it and it doesn’t seem to work. It does sorta charge while the device is off but it just shows the battery icon flashing. Could use to advice asap please and thank you.

Related Problem: On 10/16/16 I did a firmware update. After this update, I receive “Check Port” (Moisture has been detected). when I try to charge my phone with my car charger. I tried three other charges and get the same message and no charging. There has been no moisture near the phone or chargers. I feel it is in the firmware update. Tell me what you think it is.

Solution: The moisture detected in charging port error usually occurs if the phone detects that some water might have entered the port. While this phone is water resistant it is not waterproof which means that water can still seep into the device. If you didn’t get the phone wet and this error shows up the follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to take out any dirt or debris that could be present in this port.
  • Try charging your phone using a different charging cord and wall charger.
  • To check if a glitch in the phone software is causing this issue you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should have your phone checked at a service center.

S7 Wireless Charging Not Working

Problem: Hi guys, my wireless charging is wonky.  I have a Samsung Fast Charger and when I place device on it indicates fast charging occurring but then after a few seconds it stops charging entirely.  Wired fast charging works fine.  I have tried to wirelessly charge in portrait and landscape position and same issue.  I have also tried the hard reboot with Volume down and power button and issue persists. Brand new phone, 3 months old.  No physical damage, in perfect condition.  Issue occurred today. Thank you in advance for your advice.

Solution: Does your phone have a case installed? If it does then you should ty taking it out first as this could interfere with the wireless charging process. If your phone doesn’t have a case installed and you have already performed a hard reboot then I suggest you ty using a different wireless fast charger as the problem could be with the charger you are using.

S7 Not Charging

Problem: Hiya, I woke up yesterday to see that my phone hadn’t charged overnight, so I tried charging it in the morning and it didn’t work again. Took it into work and borrowed my colleagues chargers and they didn’t work either. Started to panic a bit! I put my phone in rice for 12 hours and tried it but there was no reaction afterwards, so i’m completely stuck. When I put the charger in there is no reaction at all, like the phone doesn’t recognise it! any help would be amazing! Cause I haven’t got the money for a costly repair job!

Solution: The only time you will place your phone in a bag of rice is if it gets wet since the rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Since your phone isn’t charging what you should do first it to clean the charging port using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port as it could interfere with the charging process. Next, try charging your phone using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone charges using the USB port of your computer.

If the phone doesn’t charge at all then you should bring this to a service center and have it checked.
