Related Problem: Like 2 days ago my phone screen start flickering when it’s dim to low light ..if i press the power button to it flicker when i press the home button again it flicker…it don’t flicker when i adjust the light…i try hard reset soft reset and also put in safe mode and same thing…..can i tell me if it’s the screen need replacement pls msg me bak asap
Solution: There are several reasons why a screen may flicker. Most of the minor factors that can cause this problem are third party apps or some form of corrupt software data. One factor that you wouldn’t want is a faulty display since this needs to be replaced at a service center. If your screen is flickering then try to perform the following steps listed below. Move to the next step should the issue still occur after performing a particular step.
- Try turning off the auto screen brightness then make sure the screen brightness level is set at mid to high level.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. When your phone is working in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are prevented from running. If the screen doesn’t flicker while in this mode then the problem could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then I recommend that you have your phone checked at a service center as this issue could already be caused by a faulty display assembly.
S7 Edge Black Lines On Screen
Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, was on my phone the other day and these black faded lines appeared on the screen the size of the lines changes when i adjust the screen brightness, it’s a new phone i’ve never dropped or damaged it, i’ve had samsungs for years and never had an issue like this, any help or guidance would be really appreciated.
Related Problem: I have four black lines on the screen at all times in my new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge . I have done what has been suggested in the forum but lines don’t go away. Should I take it to Samsung service? Why Samsung is not a dressing this issue as I see many similar complaints.?
Solution: Try checking if the issue also occur in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by a third party app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the problem occurs even in Safe mode then proceed with wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This will delete the temporary system data which if corrupt can cause this problem.
One last troubleshooting step that you should consider doing is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing this step.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail to fix the problem then I recommend that you have your phone checked at a service center.
S7 Edge Screen Is Black And White

Solution: It’s possible that you might have enabled the grayscale mode of the device. To fix this just go to Settings then scroll down to Accessibility. From here tap on Vision then make sure that the Grayscale switch is turned off.
S7 Edge Screen Is Black With Flashing Stripe
Problem: Hello! I got my Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge 3 weeks ago and today when I tried to charge it the screen went black with a flashing stripe on the top (mainly) and other parts of the screen and heated up. I tried the UP VOLUME + HOME + POWER combo but it did not work. Only LOWER VOLUME + POWER worker to restart it, but it did not change anything. Can you help?
Solution: Try starting the phone in recovery mode. If you can access this mode and the screen works here then I suggest that you wipe the cache partition of your phone first. Should this fail to fix the problem then you should consider doing a factory reset also in recovery mode.
If the above steps fail then I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
