S6 Edge Plus Refusing To Charge
Problem: Hello. Just within the last 24 hours, my phone is refusing to charge. I tried to change chargers, maneuver the cord around so it would charge, and changed outlets multiple times. Nothing has worked so far. I also did a soft reset and a hard reset when the soft one didn’t work. What happens is that my phone will charge for a split second before discontinuing the charging process. I don’t know if you can fix this or help me, but I’d like to hear your thoughts on what exactly it is that I should do.
Solution: You might want to check the charging port of your phone first in this issue. Clean this port using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris that could be present in the port is completely removed as this could interfere with the charging process. Once the port has been cleaned try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then try using a different charging cord.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then I suggest that you have your phone checked at a service center as this could be caused by a damaged charging port.
S6 Edge Plus Battery Drains Quickly
Problem: Hi guys Just a very weird question here. I got a brand new Samsung galaxy s6 edge + yesterday, it had a dead battery when we opened the box, so we charged it up. Last night it was on about 95% and then this morning when i woke up and wanted to see if the sim is already activated (sim swop) it didn’t want to switch on. So i thought well that’s kinda weird right. Charging it up again looked at the battery drain on the phone and you can see it was 94% or so the whole night and then this morning at 7am it fell like a waterfall to 0%. Any idea what could cause this?
Solution: It looks like this phone has a problem with its battery. Since the phone doesn’t have a user removable battery you will want to have this checked at a service center. Since this is a new phone you should also check its warranty and see if you can have it replaced with another unit.
S6 Edge Plus Not Charging Unless Switched Off
Problem: My phone will not charge on the regular charger when it’s on, only when its off. Also my computer doesn’t recognize the device. This all started when my phone started automatically updating the other day. It was draining the battery fast when it started updating so I tried to put it on the charger. I have tried multiple chargers and it will not charge unless it’s off. please help.
Solution: What you need to do first in this case is to clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris in the port gets removed as this usually interferes with the charging process. If the phone still doesn’t charge then try using different USB cords.
One last troubleshooting step that you should do is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
If the above steps don’t fix the problem then this could either be caused by a defective charging port, defective charging IC, or faulty battery. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
S6 Edge Plus Only Charges If Cable Is Positioned A Certain Way
Problem: I own a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus, I’m having trouble with the charger. The original charger that came with the phone lasted for a year then the plastic tube wrapping around the wire ripped so I bought another charging cable from Amazon, it lasted for a few months before just stop working all of sudden. Now another cable bought online is not charging unless being charged in a weird certain angle. I don’t know if this is cable problems or the main adaptive fast charging.
Solution: It’s very likely that this issue is caused by a faulty charging cord. These cords get easily damaged especially if they are constantly coiled or bent. Try replacing this cors with a new one and see if this fixes the problem. When getting a new cord make sure to choose one that it made of reinforced materials.
If the problem still occurs then try the following troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air.
- Try using a different adaptive fast charger.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S6 Edge Plus Power Sharing Error
Problem: My galaxy 6 edge+ is giving me a power sharing message and a wrong charger message when I plug in the original charger and every other charger. It will only charge occasionally, and will keep making the sound it makes when you plug it to the charger all day long.
Solution: For this particular issue the first thing you should do is to clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Once this is done try charging your phone. You should try using different charging cords when charging the phone to check if the issue is caused by the cord that you are using.
If the issue persists I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This will allow you to check if the problem is caused by a glitch in the phone software.
If the above steps don’t work then the problem could be caused by a damaged charging port. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.
S6 Edge Plus Not Turning On
Problem: my samsung galaxy s6 edge plus is not turning on. previously, its battery turned 0 and it turned off then i put it on charging and now its battery is still at 0 after hours of charging. While on charging it shows 0% battery then turn off and then itself turn on and show again 0% battery.
Related Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus there are no signs of life to my phone no blue light noting won’t charge but will feel like it’s heating up in the back of it also wont turn what can I do or what may be the problem please help me out please an thank you for your time
Related Problem: My samsung edge plus 6 is totally drained and it doesn’t want to charge. What should i do? Tried my mom’s charger and I think it’s not working too coz she’s having the same problem like me. Her samsung doesn’t want to charge too. Tried to connect it on my laptop to charge as you suggested but nothing. P.s. I’m not sure for the android version
Solution: Clean the charging port of the phone first using a can of compressed air. Make sure any dirt or debris in this port is removed. Next, try charging the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger for at least 20 minutes then see if the phone turns on. You should also check if the phone turns on if it is charged using the USB port of your computer. If the phone doesn’t turn on then it might have a defective battery. If this is the case then I suggest that you have this checked at a service center.
