Note 4 Keeps Rebooting Randomly

Problem: Hi, my samsung note 4 suddenly kept rebooting by itself. When i tried to enter recovery mode, there will be “recovery booting” on the top left corner and after i left go of the power button, the screen will turn off and nothing happens. And when i let go of the volume up and home button it reboots by itself again. This time without “recovery booting” on the top left corner.

Solution: What you will need to do first in this issue is to check if this problem is caused by some sort of power issue. Connect your phone to its wall charger. Make sure that you see the charging symbol on your phone as this will show that the phone is indeed charging. Check if the phone still restarts while it is connected to the charger. If it doesn’t restart then you might have a problem with the battery. Try replacing this battery first then see if the problem gets fixed.

If the phone still restarts even if it is connected to its charger then the next step is to check if this issue is caused by some software glitch. Below are the troubleshooting steps that you need to to. Move to the next step if the current step fail to fix the problem.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. When your phone works in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue occurs. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the problem still persists after a this point then you should have your phone checked at a service center.

Note 4 Battery Drains Quickly After Installing Software Updates

Problem: My phone used to work without any problem until I install Samsung new update my phone constantly went dead at battery level 65% or 70% and I have to keep charging every time because battery goes down quickly. What is going on with SAMSUNG PRODUCTS? I have heard Lately everyone is having issues either Samsung Phones or others Samsung Products.

Solution: If this issue occured right after a software update then there’s a possibility that it is caused by old software data that has not been completely removed during the update. What you need to do if this is the case is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is done don’t install anything in the phone just yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you should consider getting a new battery to verify if the current battery that you are using is already faulty.

Note 4 Turns Off With Battery Charge Left

Problem: From the very first time I got my note 4 it has always died at %30 but lately it started dieing at %50 or if I run apps. Now it’s at %80 and keeps cutting off and on. I was trying to see if it’s the battery or just the phone

Solution: What you will need to do first in this case is to check if the phone software is causing the problem. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below. Move to the next step if the current step fails to fix the problem.

  • To check if an app you downloaded is causing this issue start the phone in Safe Mode. If the problem doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded, Find out what app thi is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should try replacing the battery with a new one. If this also fails then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Constantly Freezing And Turning Off

Problem: hi been having issues with my note 4 for the last 3 days now. constantly freezing and turning off. 9 times out of ten wont fully turn back on and when does lasts for couple minutes and powers down and tries restarting again. tried soft reset and starting in safe mode, took out memory card but still the same issues. does feel slightly warm when power on. battery seems to be charging and holding charge ok.  Any advice would be much appreciated thank you in advance.

Solution: Right now the best thing you can do is to perform a factory reset to check if the phone software is causing this problem. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. If the problem still occurs after doing the reset then try replacing the phone battery with a new one.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Turns Off When Taking Pictures

Problem: I have a note 4 and it randomly turns off turns off when I try to take pictures if I turn it off I can’t turn it back on unless the charger is plugged in, if I have it plugged in it works fine I’ve tried everything cache partition soft reset hard reset factory recovery I have very few apps on my phone because the phone just randomly stops during games browsing uninstalling apps you name it it’s super annoying because I love the phone but I just can’t have it on a charger all day ,,, also battery never charges to 100 percent and drains EXTREMELY FAST

Solution: Most of the time when the phone turns off when using the camera this is usually caused by a faulty battery. Try getting a new battery and see if this fixes the problem.

Note 4 Shuts On And Off Randomly

Problem: Hi, I have a samsung galaxy note 4 and it has been shutting on and off randomly, and for the past couple days when it turns on it says REBOOT at the top of my screen. A couple days ago my phone turned off again, but never let me turn it on. It’s been two days and I’ve tried different chargers, and i have taken out the battery. I ordered a new battery that I tried in my phone today, but it still won’t turn on.

Solution: What you can do right now is to clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. Once the port has been cleaned connect your phone to its wall charger using a different charging cord. Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes then try to turn it on. If the phone still does not turn on then the problem could be caused by a damaged power IC. If this is the case then you will have to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Gets Stuck In Bootloop When Phone Turns Off

Problem: My phone dies between 65-70% And usually will get stuck in a bootloop until I pull the battery or plug it in. Occasionally I will hit the home button or power button to wake it up, but it just stays black for about 30 seconds then wakes up to my lock screen. Other than that I’m very happy with my note 4 still.

Related Problem: I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy note 4, sometimes it goes off by itself and keeps flashing the Samsung Galaxy note 4 for a while(sometimes it takes hours ) before it comes back on. Please help as I thought it was the battery, but I got a new battery and the case is still the same.

Solution: There are two troubleshooting steps that you can do in this kind of issue.

  • Check if the phone software is causing the problem by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing a reset.
  • Check if the battery is causing the problem by replacing it with a new one.

If the problem still occurs even after performing the steps listed above then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Will Not Charge

Problem: My note 4 seem like it’s not making a connection with the usb cord when I charge it. I don’t get that sound when I plug it up so I were thinking that it may be hardware problem. I even bought a new battery I have new charger and usb cord.

Solution: Try cleaning the charging port of your phone as dirt or debris stuck in this port can interfere with the charging process. If the problem still occurs then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked as the charging IC of your phone could already be defective.

Note 4 Stuck In Verizon Screen

Problem: I have been having issues with my phone for awhile now. Up until Friday it wouldn’t turn on all the way. I would turn it on and it would be stuck on the red Verizon screen. I had did a soft reset several times and cleared out the cache. However when I would select to reboot it the screen would just go black. I really do not want to factory reset and lose all my personal data. Is there any other way to do this?

Solution: If a factory reset is not an option then you can do the following troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Power off the phone then take out the battery and microSD card if you have one installed. Press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear out its RAM.  Reinsert just the battery then check if the phone will turn on.
  • Start the phone in recovery mode and wipe the cache partition of your phone.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
