Welcome to another installment of our troubleshooting series where we help our readers who own the #Samsung #Galaxy #Note4 fix the issues that they are experiencing with their phone. Today we will be concentrating on the app related problems of this device. As we all know one of the main strengths of a smartphone is its ability to be customized to a user’s preference by the installation of apps. These apps should ideally work without any issues on the phone. Sometimes though this is not the case which is why we will tackle the Galaxy Note 4 unable to download apps issue & other related problems.
If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or any other Android device for that matter then feel free to contact us using this form. We will be more than happy to assist you with any concern that you may have with your device. This is a free service we are offering with no strings attached. We however ask that when you do contact us try to be as detailed as possible so that an accurate assessment can be made and the correct solution can be given.

Note 4 Unable To Download Apps
Problem: I am unable to download new Apps or update existing Apps on my Galaxy Note 4. I still have 7.5Gb left of 11.5Gb device space. I also have 8Gb Sd card inserted. I have done factory reset several times without getting a solution to the problem. I am certain it has nothing to do with the mobile data quality
Solution: Are you using your mobile data connection when trying to download the apps? Try switching to a Wi-Fi connection if this is the case. It’s best to check if the issue occurs with different connection modes to verify if your current connection is causing the issue.
If the issue remains then try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode then do another factory reset ( make sure to backup your phone data first). Once this is done log in with a different Google account you are using.
Note 4 Music Information Not Sent Via Bluetooth To Car
Problem: Ever since the music app updated, the text information is not communicated to via bluetooth to my vehicles. Shows “no name” “no title” in the text box rather than artist, song, etc. I can control the music (e.g. skip song), but it doesn’t show any information, If I un-install the update it is fine; but it keeps updating again the next day and I can’t see how to stop that! I have looked at all the settings in the phone and my car and my motorcycle bluetooth…nothing I can change to fix it. Music app is version 16.1.63-9, the latest version it says.
Solution: This appears to be a bug in the current app update. The only way for this to get resolved is if another update is released which has a fix to this issue. In the meantime you can just go ahead and manually uninstall the update everytime the app updates or try using a different music app.
Note 4 Freezes When Posting Photos To Facebook Business Page
Problem: I have a Galaxy Note 4 and when I try and post pics to my Facebook business page or some of the F.B yard sale pages, it freezes and the screen goes black. I have to kill the task or sometime it ends itself and resets back to the F.B main page. I don’t usually have any problems posting pics to my timeline. It just seems to happen when I’m trying to post them anywhere else on Facebook.
Solution: It’s possible that this issue is caused by a glitch in the Facebook app. Try clearing the cache and data of the Facebook app from the application manager first then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you should try uninstalling the Facebook app then install a fresh version from the Google Play Store.
If the issue still occurs even after reinstalling the app then try the following steps listed below.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- If the photos you are trying to attach are stored in the microSD card then try attaching photos that are stored in the internal storage of the phone. If the app doesn’t freeze then the problem could be caused by a corrupted microSD card. I suggest you replace this card.
Note 4 Not Getting Game Notifications After Marshmallow Update
Problem: I just got this stupid marshmallow update on note 4, and now I’m not getting any notification from my game, I have the notification on in the specific game so what’s going on please help. Really hating this update
Solution: Android Marshmallow has introduced new notification settings that are different from Android Lollipop. Try to check if the app notification settings are properly set. Go to Settings then Sound & notification. Go to the bottom then tap on app notifications. Tap on the app which you are having an issue with and check its notification settings. I recommend turning on the Allow Peeking Setting while leaving the other settings off.
If the notification settings of the app is correctly set and the issue still occurs then your other resort is to do a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing this. This reset is necessary when issues occur right after a software update since it takes out any old software data that might not have been completely removed. This old data causes a conflict with the new software version resulting in issues such as this.
Note 4 Unfortunately Phone Has Stopped
Problem: if a call comes in and i am busy in an app the phone freezes. it says “unfortunately phone has stopped” . the only way to unfreeze it is to take the battery out. If i am not in any app and the phone rings it is fine.
Solution: When faced with this kind of issue the first thing that you should do is to wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. If this fails to fix the problem then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
