The #Samsung #Galaxy #Note4 uses this display type which provides a crisp and vivid color reproduction and has a lower power consumption than the typical LCD type of display. While normally this display type doesn’t have any major problems there are still instances when certain issues can occur which is what we will be dealing with today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy Note 4 screen freezes overheats issue & other related problems.

Note 4 Screen Freezes Overheats
Problem: Hello, recently I have had some issues with my samsung galaxy note 4. My note 4 when using it, the screen freezes and it overheats quickly. I bought a new battery not that long ago from samsung website but I dont think thats the problem. I performed a hard reset, soft reset, clear app cache and it’s still not resolved. Before that happened it started when I was browsing twitter and i heard a fairly loud screech/pop noise and that’s when it started having issues. I’m really hoping you guys can find a solution for me mainly due to the fact that When i tried contacting samsung they were not accepting any out of warranty devices due to “business reasons”. If you can contact me fairly soon that would be really appreciated Thank you
Solution: Since you have already tried using a new battery and even performed a factory reset then it’s very likely that the problem is caused by a faulty internal component. Does you phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it as this might be causing the problem. If the issue remains then you should have your phone checked at a service center that’s capable of doing board level repairs as the problem could be caused by a shorted circuit.
Note 4 Black Screen
Problem: My phone has not been dropped or gotten wet or anything but randomly now I turn it on and it will flash for a second then it’s just a black screen. All buttons and screen screen are responsive as well. When I do the volume up power and home button it goes to installing system update then goes to no command then flashes off. Any help??
Related Problem: hi having problems with the black screen of death on my Samsung tried all the options recommended with the buttons but still black screen one of the options is a factory reset after backing up but I can’t use the screen to open up my phone so what can I do any advice is appreciated thanks.
Related Problem: I have a Note 4. I took a lot of pictures with my phone the last 4 days. Suddenly when my screen goes black after timeout, it stay black even after pressing the home key or power button. Normally to get the screen on I press the home key or power button. When someone phones, the screen stay black so I can’t see who phones. I can answer with homekey but not end the call with home key. The person calling must end the call. The only way to get screen on is by removing battery and re insert. I already cleared the cache.
Related Problem: phone was dropped maybe 6 inches. no cracks on screen. all sounds alarms notifications work. turns on and off fine. screen is just black or blank. no logo is shown when turned on. just the sound. called repair place and said $300 screen is needed. is there any way that something just got jarred loose? if so ..how to fix? Thanks
Solution: You should try to check if the display works in recovery mode. If it does then I recommend that you do a factory reset from here. Take note that your phone data will be erased in the process. If the screen remains black even in recovery mode then it’s possible that the display of your phone is damaged or its connection to the motherboard has loosened. I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
