Note 4 Lag After Installing Marshmallow

Problem: Hello there, I am using Samsung Note 4 India (INS) version with Android 5.1.1 which is now updated to 6.0.1. Ever since I updated the phone, the response time that is installing apps, connecting to wifi/hotspot networks takes little bit more time. Also the battery is draining very fast, even on standby with no Internet On, the battery dies in less than 10 hours. It’s a brand new Phone bought less than 2 months. Now, the second part is the SPEN. Note 4 doesn’t recognise S PEN touch when trying to write with it on Screen, though it recognizes my finger, this is happening from day 1 itself. Third thing: When pressed on the center of the screen right side, I hear tic tock sound that means there’s a small gap present. I know the issues 2nd and 3rd are related to hardware and I am contacting Samsung for help, but the 1st issue is what we need to solve. Please check and let me know whether the 1st issue is happening on all Note 4s. Thanks DroidGUY.

Solution: Since the first issue occured right after performing a software updates it’s possible that it’s caused by some form old software data that has not been completely removed from your phone. For this to be resolved I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete try to check if the first issue still occurs.

The secondand third issue is most likely a hardware related problem. For the issue regarding the S Pen not working it’s probably due to the digitizer not working. The third issue of the sound you hear when the display is pressed might be caused by a loose connection between the display and the motherboard. This will have to be checked at a service center.

Note 4 sbl1 Partition Does Not Exist

Problem: My phone said this: boot recovery mode check boot partitions sbl1 partition does not exist ddl:  mmc_read failed ODIN mode (high speed) Product name:  SM-N910A Current binary:  Samsung Official System status:  Custom Reactivation lock:  off Knox warranty void:  0x0 Qualcomm secure boot:  enable (CSB) AP SWREV: S1, T2, A1, A2, P1 Secure download:  enable UOC start I have no idea what this means and I’m also not sure what Android version I have.  I have downloaded all of the updates.

Solution: It’s very likely that the phone software has been corrupted. To troubleshoot this problem try restarting your phone in recovery mode then perform a factory reset from here. If you are unable to access the recovery mode then you will need to flash your phone with its updated stock firmware file. Instructions on how to do this can be found at several of the popular android forums online.

Note 4 Software Update Interrupted Error

Problem: I am trying to upgrade to marshmallow from lollipop. My phone has 14 gb free and i have cleared cache before trying it. i get the SOFTWARE UPDATE INTERRUPTED ERROR

Solution: There are several factors that can cause this kind of problem however the very first thing that you should check is if this issue is caused by your data connection. Try using a different Wi-Fi network or try using your mobile data subscription to get the update. If the same problem occurs then you should proceed with using Kies or Smart Switch to get the update. To do this just connect your phone using a USB cord to a computer with Kies or Smart Switch running.  Use the software to update your device.

If the issue persists then I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete proceed with updating your phone software.

Note 4 Boot Loop After Marshmallow Update

Problem: I have a note 4 After marshmallow and further updates phone started on boot loop i have change my battery already. After boot loop problems it restarts on it own , goes into odin mode .i have done a hard reset also . Can i flash lollipop on my phone since many people have said i can’t?

Solution: You can flash Lollipop to your device. Just make sure to have the exact firmware file that’s compatible for your phone model. As an alternative you can also flash the latest Marshmallow firmware file to your device. Instructions on how to flash your phone can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.

Note 4 No Command Error

Problem: I charged my phone overnight and in the morning my screen has a funky robot with no command In red at the top it has Android System Recovery with the error code I listed.  I am given options of reboot now ( I have tried and reboots with same message) apply update from ADB, apply update from external storage, wipe data (NO THANKS) wipe cache partition, apply update from cache.  I am not sure what this means or options to at least make sure most of my data is there.  Any advice is appreciated.

Solution: It’s very likely that the phone software has been corrupted. You should try to access the recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data so make sure to have a backup copy of your data before doing this.

If the reset doesn’t work then you will need to flash your phone with its updated stock firmware. Instructions on how to flash your phone can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.

Note 4 Keeps On Rebooting

Problem: cant get phone to turn on. had custom with unlocked padlock and was getting message that i had to contact at&t because it didn’t recognize software. now padlock and custom is off boot screen and now phone justs keeps rebooting. not sure how to reinstall stock software.model is sm-n910a

Solution: What you need to do in this case is to remove the battery and the microSD card first (if you have one installed). Press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear its RAM. Reinsert just the battery then turn on your phone. If the issue still occurs then proceed with starting the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset from here. Restart your phone after the reset has completed.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should consider flashing your phone with its stock firmware file. Instructions on how to do this can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.
