Motorola’s recent budget offering, the #MotoG4Play has just been added by #Verizon to its prepaid lineup for just $84.99. The smartphone comes with a fairly decent hardware specs sheet, so the carrier can hope to attract a wide range of customers at this particular price point. But given the kind of cheap phones that are available out there, Motorola and Verizon might have a tough time convincing prospective buyers of the handset’s potential.
The Moto G4 Play comes with a 5-inch 720p display, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC, 16GB of storage (expandable), 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, a 2,800 mAh battery, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Expect the carrier to offer decent voice and data plans along with the Moto G4 Play.
Given the hardware on board, the Moto G4 Play for $85 doesn’t seem like a bad device really. Considering the fact that it’s being offered by Verizon, you are assured to get the best in terms of networks and connectivity.
