Just as rumored, #Samsung has now taken the wraps off the S Pen toting Galaxy Tab A (2016). The tablet has an identical stylus as the Galaxy Note 7, which means you will get the same set of features on board (sans the exploding battery). The tablet has only been unveiled in South Korea for now, but given the hardware it’s packing, we won’t be surprised if it is unveiled in other parts of the world soon enough.
In the hardware department, you’re being treated to a 10.1-inch 1080p display, a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and a 7,300 mAh battery. The tablet also comes with LTE connectivity on board, making it quite an exciting offering in the tablet segment.
The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has been priced at 489,000 South Korean Won ($433), which makes it a pretty decent device in the mid-ranged tablet market. There’s no word on a global expansion as of yet, and we’re not holding our breath.
