The OnePlus X now getting the Android 6.0.1 update

OnePlus X

#OnePlusX customers will be pleased to know that the company has now started sending out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. This comes nearly a year after #Google officially made the Android 6.0 update available to OEMs and its Nexus devices. There’s no word why it has taken OnePlus this long to send out the update, but users will finally breathe a sigh of relief that it’s here now.

The update to OxygenOS 3.1.2 will introduce the new version of Android on the OnePlus X. Your OnePlus X is eligible for an update if it’s running OxygenOS versions 2.2.3, 3.1.0, or 3.1.1. OnePlus claims that the update is being sent out in stages, so not everyone will be able to see it on their devices right away. Since the handset is sold unlocked in all regions, we don’t think there will be much delay with regards to the rollout of the update in countries, including the U.S.
