It’s no longer a secret that the #GalaxyNote7 would be introducing an iris scanner. Well, Samsung’s new tech has now been showcased in a new amateur video, leaving no doubt about its functionality. This short 7-minute video shows how the screen displays a tiny box on the top showing the positioning of your eyes and unlocks the device in an instant. The technology seems pretty snappy at first glance, although we would rather wait for a proper demo from Samsung before jumping to conclusions about its functioning.
The Galaxy Note 7 is possibly one of the worst kept secrets out there, but luckily for Samsung, the release is just a week or two away now. The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be packing a 5.7-inch curved Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is also expected to be sporting a quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage and a 4,000 mAh battery.
