Samsung unveils the Galaxy J Max with a 7-inch display and 4,000 mAh battery

Galaxy J Max

Pushing the boundaries of what is considered to be a well-stretched niche, #Samsung has launched the #GalaxyJMax sporting a 7-inch display. This device, apparently, cannot be categorized as a tablet since it’s supposed to be a smartphone with calling functionality. So is it a phablet? Perhaps, although it’s too large to be considered a smartphone + tablet, so we’re going to stick with tablet.

Anyway, the Galaxy J Max has only been revealed in India as of now, much like the Galaxy J2 (2016). The device might take some time to reach the rest of the markets, depending on Samsung’s strategy. In terms of hardware, you’re getting a decently sized WXGA display, along with a 4,000 mAh battery and a quad-core processor. The J Max is priced at INR 13,400 ($199), which seems like an appropriate price tag for a device of this caliber. Read on for the complete hardware specs of the Galaxy J Max:

  • 7-inch 1280 x 800 display
  • 8-megapixel rear camera
  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • 1.5 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset
  • 1.5GB RAM
