S6 Edge Screen Flickering After Phone Got Wet
Problem: My s6 edge got wet a few days ago and the screen wouldn’t turn on. I put it in rice for a few hours right when I got home. I was then able to get the screen turned on, so I could at least turn it off. The next morning I turned my phone back on and it was working normally. The problem I have now is whenever I have the screen on, it goes into a seizure, flickering a bit and then showing all these green pixels, I left it alone for the night turning the phone off but it still does this. I don’t feel like going to the store and paying to fix it even if it’s insured. Do I need to put it in rice still or what?
Solution: It appears that the water has caused some damage on the phone. When water enter a phone it can cause all sorts of damage to its internal components. In this case it is the display that got affected. I would suggest that you have this checked at a service center.
S6 Edge Screen Flickering After Phone Dropped
Problem: I dropped my phone quite harshly 4 days ago and it’s been fine since, only suffering bad smashes to the front screen and back cover and a green line down the screen, but upon going to sleep at night, doing my usual routine, nothing different, i woke this morning at 1 to what I thought were flickering lights, turns out it’s my phone, I can’t turn it off I can’t use it and it’s not even the whole screen flickering it’s just a random section of it. Please help.
Solution: You will need to connect your phone to a computer with Smart Switch installed then backup your phone data. After the backup try to start your phone in recovery mode. If you are able to access this mode then do a factory reset to check if the phone software is causing this issue.
If you are unable to backup your phone data, access the recovery mode, do a factory reset, or any of the combination of these three then I suggest you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty display.
S6 Edge Screen Flickering White
Problem: I was watching a YouTube video and the screen just turned white. I tried to fix it by pressing the power button. Then the screen started flickering white. then it just turned green. I learned from past problems with phones that it could be the battery. So I let the phone die out, it was already almost dead. Then after it was dead, I charged it for a few hours to make sure it was fully charged, I got it back and turned it on. I could tell it would be at the lock screen by the blue LED when it was off. I tried turning the phone on and the screen flickered white again. So I turned it off an on again. Now I can sort of see the screen when I turn it on. And I can sorta see the screen before it dims out and the screen turns black.
Solution: You need to check if this issue is caused by a software glitch or by a faulty phone hardware. To do this just start the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
In case the issue occurs after the reset or you are unable to access the recovery mode due to this screen issue then I suggest you have your phone checked at a service center since this could already be caused by a faulty display.
S6 Edge Screen Is Flashing Green White
Problem: was using my phone and then suddenly the screen went white and then black and then the screen started flashing green and white only on the top half of the screen. the buttons all still lit up but the screen was unresponsive. I held down the power button and the volume down button and the screen went black and a blue light came on the top of the phone. Whenever i press any button the same issue pops up.
Solution: Try checking first if an app installed in the phone is causing this problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are prevented from running. If the issue doesn’t occur then it could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is then uninstall it.
If the issue occurs even in Safe Mode then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install anything in your phone just yet. Check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then have your phone checked at a service center.
S6 Edge Screen Burn-in
Problem: I have my phone for about a year now and i notice that the notification bar has burned my screen. When the screen is white i can see the difference of color where is supposed to be the notification bar and the rest of the screen. Also i notice where the screen finishes on top a black fail something about 1mm in the screen, like fail. I don’t know how to to explain but it’s a black fail coming from where is no pixels to where the screen starts. It’s small about 1mm but very annoying. Should i send it back for check? I tried all the resets and apps for fix but nothing. Thanks guys
Solution: A screen burn-in issue is almost always caused by a faulty display. If you have already performed a factory reset and the problem still occurs then you should have this checked at a service center. It’s very likely that the technician will suggest that you have your display replaced.
