Note 4 No Sound In Games

Problem: Hi There, I have upgraded my N910C to Android 6.0.1 via wifi. works very smooth and was happy with it until I’ve found the below issue: Some games works normally but during gameplay there is no sound. even though there is sound / music in game menus. (example: Gunship battle 3D, Bubble Coco, walking war machines and other games) only no sound when the game play start. Uninstalled the games and updated the latest version from google play, still the same problem. Cash wiped and factory reset my phone and still same problem. Please advice. Thanks you

Solution: Does this issue occur in only some games? If it does then you might want to try contacting the developer of these games as this might be a bug in the game which only occurs when a device is running on Marshmallow.

Note 4 “Unfortunately , cocktailbar service has stopped” Error

Problem: Received a continuous pop up “Unfortunately , cocktailbar service has stopped ” . When I clicked OK , it will pop again after 2 seconds. I have tried put the wallpaper/handphone theme back to Samsung theme (as found in web) but still not solving the problem . Please help.Thanks.

Solution: This issue is most likely caused by a theme you are using on your phone. Try to revert back to the default theme by going to  Settings > Themes and choose the default theme . Check if the issue still occurs. If you are unable to revert to the default theme r if the problem persists even if the phone is using the default theme then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Softphone App Not Working When phone Is Locked

Problem: I have a softphone app which was working fine with 5.0. When I do a call with that app and press the power button to lock the phone it stops transmitting data and audio too… When I open a streaming media on internet, and press power button the same happens. The softphone was working and giving audio when power button pressed and phone was locked. I am using fingerprint login. I have checked most of the settings but didn’t find which can be related to this.  Is it possible to rollback to 5.0? Thanks for your help in advance!

Solution: It is possible to rollback your phone software to Lollipop. This can be done by manually flashing the previous software version to your phone. To do this you will need a copy of the firmware file of your device which you can download at the Sammobile website. You will also need a software called Odin installed in your computer which you will use to flash the phone. Detailed instructions on how to do this can be found at several of the popular android forums online.

Since flashing the phone is a long procedure you might want to check if an update to the Softphone app is available which addresses this issue that occurs in Marshmallow.

Note 4 Crashes

Problem: I’ve installed the Tank blitz and sniper fury apps and many problems sprung  up instantly. For instance, my phone started to hang. I used clean master to clear junk files in order to speed up my device but it stuck 3 to four times. I have uninstalled both the apps and rebooted my phone. Fortunately it stopped hanging but now i can’t open my gallery. One more thing, my pictures  were not uploading on dropbox so i tried to fix the problem but it didn’t work out. According to your one of the ” gallery crashing” blog, I have cleared app data and cache of gallery app but still the app is crashing but I can open the pictures via camera and my files. I also have a battery issue. It suddenly falls from 20% to 0%. Are there any solutions for that too?

Solution: Since there are several issues affecting you phone right now it’s best to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is done don’t install anything in your phone just yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then try checking if your phone has a microSD card installed and remove it.

Note 4 Error 18 When Installing App

Problem: Trying to install spelling city app and it keeps giving me error 18. I have unmounted sd card, cleared cache, and there is enough storage.  Please help.

Solution: The first thing you need to check if the time and date of your phone. Make sure that it is set properly.

  • Go to Settings – Date & Time
  • Check if the time and date is correct
  • Deselect “Automatic data and time” and “Time Zone”
  • Manually set the correct date and time
  • Go back to homescreen
  • Go back to the date & time settings and then enable “Automatic date and time”.

You should also clear the cache and data of the Google Play Store, Google Service Framework, and the Download Manager app. You can do this from the Application Manager setting.

It’s also possible that the phone is detecting a low storage space available even if you still have sufficient storage space. To resolve this you need to wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. Try to uninstall any app that you don’t regularly use as well.

If the issue persists then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Turns Off When Snapchat Opens

Problem: Almost everytime i open snapchat my phone turns itself off and back on. Sometimes it will just keep turning itself off immediately of i don’t plug it into the charger, even if the battery is on 91%

Solution: Does this issue occur only when you open Snapchat? If it does then I suggest you uninstall the Snapchat app then reinstall a fresh version from the Google Play Store.

Note 4 Unfortunately app Has Stopped

Problem: Every game with additional data which I install, the “unfortunately it has stopped” error appears in the first time which I open the app or at least after opening another application.

Solution: This might just be caused by a software glitch. Try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode then check if the issue still occurs. If your phone has a microSD card installed try taking it out as well as this might be causing the problem.
