S6 Camera Stopped Working
Problem: I downloaded app and then my camera stopped working I have tried everything master reset, delete to factory setting, turned smart stay also downloaded firmware again, then rooted phone to use sdlink nothing. Gave Samsung store they said as someone opened the phone they can’t do anything as I had given to corner shop and they guy couldn’t fix it. Officially out of options any help I will be grateful thanks
Solution: If the app you installed is causing this issue then uninstalling the said app or even doing a factory reset should have fixed the issue however in this case it doesn’t. This means that there must be another factor that’s causing this to happen. Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it as this could be causing the problem. Aside from the microSD card the next possible culprit behind this issue is the phone hardware itself. The camera module is a component that needs to be checked first which has to be done by a technician. I suggest you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Camera Stops Working
Problem: Hi. I have my phone already for 1 year and never had problems. But suddenly I noticed that when I use the camera it stops without any reason. This can be after 4 seconds or 30 seconds. I is if you push the stop button. Very strange I must say and I can’t find a way to solve this. I even removed the cache of the camera. No luck. Any idea what it could be?
Solution: Clearing the cache and data of the camera app is a good first troubleshooting step to do in cases like this. Since the problem still persists then you should try to check if it is caused by an app installed in your phone. Start your phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then it is most likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then follow the troubleshooting steps listed below. Move to the next step should the issue still persist.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then wipe its cache partition.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S6 Does Not Zoom
Problem: i have tried everything even reset to factory . My camera will still not do close ups it leaves it blurry which has only just started doing. i have read through and tried everything on your page and still nothing. i spoke to someone and they said it’s a software problem but i have done all updates
Solution: Since you already did a factory reset and made sure that the phone is running on the latest software update then this issue is unlikely to be caused by a software problem. Below are the recommended troubleshooting steps that you can further do to resolve this issue.
- Clean the camera lens using a microfiber cloth. Make sure that this lens is clear of any smudges as this could be causing the issue.
- If your phone has a case installed try to remove it.
- Try starting your phone in Safe Mode and check if the camera can focus properly when zoomed in in this mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then the issue could be caused by an app installed in your phone. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the above steps fail to resolve the issue then the problem could be caused by the camera module. If this is the case then I suggest you have your phone checked at a service center.
S6 Evt Or Cal Card Error
Problem: Evt or Cal card error is what the camera shows during the times it won’t work. It’s random. Sometime it works, most the time it won’t.
Solution: The first thing you need to do in this case is to go to the application manager then search for the camera app. Tap on clear cache then tap on clear data. Once this is done tap on force stop then restart the phone. As soon as the phone is back up and running try to check if the issue still occurs.
If the default storage space of the camera is the microSD card then try removing this card.
You should also check if an app installed in your phone is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it is most likely caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
One last troubleshooting step that you can do is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing this.
If the above steps fail to resolve the problem then I suggest you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked. My guess is that there could be something wrong with the camera module of your device.
S6 Grainy Pics
Problem: Grainy pics only with zoom or early evening and early morning like the moon setting….otherwise the pics are beautiful.
Solution: Photos will appear grainy when zoomed because the phone uses a digital zoom instead of an optical zoom. The difference between both is that optical zoom is true zooming which uses the lens optics to bring far objects near. Digital zoom on the other hand uses software processing to enlarge the image at the center of the frame and trims away the outside edges. This is the same result as zooming a photo in your computer and cropping it which causes the grainy effect.
Photos will also appear grainy during low light conditions since the camera will try to draw in more light by increasing its ISO setting. The higher the ISO setting the more noise you will get on the photo.
S6 Blurry Front Facing Camera
Problem: The front facing camera or selfie camera is extremely blurry and will not focus at all. I bane tried everything I have seen online and nothing is working.
Solution: Have you tried cleaning the front facing camera lens using a microfiber cloth? You should also try clearing the cache and data of the camera from the application manager to check if the problem is caused by a corrupt data in the app.
If the issue still occurs then try to follow the troubleshooting steps listed below. Move to the next step should the issue still occur.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. Check the front camera in this mode. If the issue doesn’t occur then it is most likely caused by an app installed in your phone. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data and do a factory reset.
If the issue still occurs after following the steps listed above then you should have your phone checked at a service center.
S6 Selfie Picture Issue
Problem: When I took my first selfie everything was fine. When I looked right in the camera I got a full face view eyes straight at the camera. When I went to take another the next day, when I looked into the camera, my eyes were kinda looking down or to the side. It’s like it’s tracking my eyes. I don’t know how to explain it, there’s no full straight in your face pics anymore. The eye thing is driving me crazy. I don’t know what happened
Solution: Try resetting the camera app by clearing the cache and data of the app from the application manager. If the issue still occurs then try backing up your phone data and doing a factory reset.
