Xiaomi unveils the Mi Max phablet with a 6.4-inch display and a 4,850 mAh battery

Chinese manufacturer #Xiaomi has just unveiled a new phablet dubbed the #MiMax. For those keeping up with the leaks, this device is no stranger as Xiaomi executives have been dropping hints about its arrival for quite some time now. Fans will be relieved to know that the device is finally available, putting an end to rumors and leaks once and for all.

So what can you expect from the Mi Max? Well, it sports a massive 6.44-inch 1080p display as expected, which is paired with a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 or the octa-core Snapdragon 652 SoC. There are multiple variants to pick from with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64 or 128GB of internal storage. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is running by default, along with MIUI 8. In terms of camera, the Mi Max is packing a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front camera.

The battery doesn’t leave much to be desired as it’s a massive 4,850 mAh unit, which can comfortably last a day or two of heavy usage with this kind of hardware. The Mi Max will be available in Silver, Light Gray and Gold color variants.

The entry level model with the hexa-core Snapdragon 650 SoC, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage will set you back by about $130, while the top of the line variant with the Snapdragon 652 chip, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage has been priced at the Chinese equivalent of $300.
