AT&T’s new #GalaxyS7Active is in the news again, this time with word on its hardware. It is said that the handset will be packing a gargantuan 4,000 mAh battery underneath, making it a sizable upgrade over the Galaxy S7 as well as the S7 Active.
Further, with a thickness of just 185 grams, the handset will be only 15 grams heavier than the standard Galaxy S7, which is pretty decent given the added bulk under the hood. It will be about 2mm thicker than the Galaxy S7 though, so it might not be for those who prefer form over function.
The Galaxy S7 Active is expected to be unveiled on the 10th of June, with reports stating that the handset will be packing a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, a rugged IP68 exterior, the quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the aforementioned 4,000 mAh battery.
