Note 4 Screen Cannot Turn On
Problem: I just install marshmallow 6.0.1 to my sm-n910c device. After install, i cannot turn on the screen once i lock it..(from start until lock everything just fine).after i lock, screen cannot turned on..all others function is ok(i guess because i can hear click and vibrate and even call in). I already doing all the reset thing and restore factory data..but still got this problem…how to fix it?
Solution: Usually if this kind of problem occurs right after a software update the best thing to do is a factory reset. However, since you mentioned that you already did a reset which doesn’t fix the issue then there are two things that you do.
First, you can try to reflash the phone to its previous software version. For detailed instructions on how to do this I suggest you take a look at some of the popular Android forums online.
If reflashing the phone software does not resolve the issue then I suggest you have your phone checked at a service center as this could already be a hardware problem.
Note 4 Screen Is Totally Black
Problem: I tried to connect my galaxy Note 4 with my HP laptop via Bluetooth while pairing laptop asked me to confirm if it is the code displayed by my note 4 without verifying looking at my phone i clicked ok and as soon as my galaxy note 4 went blackout. Since then , impossible to visualize anything on the screen for it is totally black. The phone works for if they call me it rings but nothing comes out on the screen(always black). I have tried some methods but nothing. Please i need help to resolve the problem since i bought it just 4 months ago. thanks in advance.
Solution: Try restarting your phone first and see if this fixes the issue. Sometimes you just need to refresh the phone software for it to work again. If restarting the phone does not help then I suggest you try to start the phone in recovery mode. This is an environment separate from the main operating system of the phone. Try to check if the phone display is still black in this mode. If it isn’t then the problem could be caused by your phone software. I would suggest that you do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that you have to backup your phone data before doing this procedure. If the phone display is still black even in recovery mode then chances are there could be a physical problem with the phone display. I would suggest that you have your phone checked at a service center if this is the case.
Note 4 Screen Won’t Turn Off On Its Own
Problem: Hi Guys, I have a problem, for the past couple of weeks my screen light won’t turn off on its own, not much of a problem perhaps as I can use the power button to switch it off, but, I have a leather case on, and if I don’t notice that the light is on, if it’s been a while before I do notice it, obviously the phone is quite hot. There is no app that I could pinpoint as having been installed around the time this started happening, and in my settings I always have the light to turn off after 1 minute of no activities. that is pretty much all i can tell you i’m afraid, any clues? thanks in Advance
Solution: You should first try to check if an app you downloaded is causing this problem. To do this just start your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps of your phone are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are disabled. Check if the screen turns off on its own in this mode. If it turns off on its on then an app you downloaded and installed in your device could be causing the problem. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the issue occurs even in Safe Mode then it’s time to check if a glitch in the phone software is causing this problem. You will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install anything in your phone yet. Check first if the issue still occurs.
If the above steps fail to resolve the problem then this could be a hardware related issue. If this is the case then you need to have your phone checked at a service center.
Note 4 Touchscreen Not Responding Accordingly
Problem: Touch screen does not respond accordingly, meaning that if I want to press “#” I would have to press the number “9”. Any advise on the issue? I thank you in advance.
Solution: For touchscreen related issues try to wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode first. Once this is done reboot your device then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Check if the issue still occurs after the reset. If it does then it’s possible that the digitizer of the phone could be faulty. If this is the case then I suggest you have your phone checked at an authorized service center.
Note 4 Black Screen After Software Update
Problem: After update it was going smooth. Later I came across black screen while in unlocking.
When I press power or home button some time it won’t light up and the screen remains black and all the other function are normal touch works i can unlock after some time it light on i have to press some key and sometimes it light up with over brightness and also battery draining and heating above camera
Solution: For this issue you will need to wipe the cache partition of your phone from recovery mode first. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs. If it does then proceed by doing a factory reset. Take note that this will delete your phone data so make sure to have a backup copy first.
Note 4 Unable To Add Extra Homescreen After Software Update
Problem: I have had a new software upgrade in the last few days and since then i am unable to add an extra screen. Normally I would ‘pinch’ on any screen and then scroll right to the point where I would get a blank screen with a plus sign on it and then tap and a new blank page would be added. Now when I do this I do not get the the page with the plus sign on it. Has there been a change on how you get a blank page or is there a bug?
Solution: It looks like there could be some data conflicts in the device which occurred during the upgrade. I would suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset to resolve this issue.
