AT&T and LG have just released the Phoenix 2 smartphone, which sports a budget ranged hardware and a very attractive price tag of $99.99. The highlight? Well, this is probably one of the cheapest handsets to be packing Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board.
Barring this, the hardware is nothing to write home about, but still pretty attractive for the price. The handset sports a 5-inch 720p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 210 SoC, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera and a 2,125 mAh battery. Surprisingly, the carrier hasn’t mentioned the storage capacity of the handset.
The Phoenix 2 is an AT&T GoPhone offering, so you won’t need to sign a postpaid contract with the carrier. For the hardware and especially Android 6.0 Marshmallow under the hatch, the handset is definitely worth a closer look.
The Phoenix 2 cannot be spotted on the company’s site as of yet, but we expect it to be available soon. It will be available from AT&T’s retail stores from the 10th of June onwards.
