The #MotoG4 and the #MotoG4Plus are expected to be Moto/Lenovo’s upcoming mid-ranged offerings. A leak from last week gave us a sketchy idea about what the major changes might be. Today, that’s being corroborated by a newer leak, showing the fingerprint scanner again, along with the rear panel with the iconic Moto dimple well in place.
The front facing fingerprint scanner is a major revelation for us as the manufacturers (including Lenovo) have preferred placing fingerprint scanners on the back panel. But on the other hand, there are a few other manufacturers like Apple, Samsung, HTC etc who have preferred to go with the front facing fingerprint sensors.
It goes without saying that this is a bold move by Motorola and will be welcomed by all. It is being said that the Moto G4 and the G4 Plus will feature 5.5-inch displays and 16GB of storage modules inside.
However, the Moto G Plus will supposedly pack a 16-megapixel rear camera while the Moto G will apparently come with a 13-megapixel rear camera. So it seems like the ‘Plus’ moniker could only mean a camera upgrade. Although it’s too early to tell if that will be the only differentiating feature between the two handsets. The devices will apparently be available for purchase in May.
Here are other leaked photos being floated around the interweb…
