Note 4 Error When Downloading App
Problem: I recently downloaded this app (Walking war robots ) before the update I downloaded the app February 10th the most recent update was on March 3rd it prompt me for an update which I went to the play market android updated and it keeps saying that I do not have enough memory which I have a 32 GB and 90% of the App Store stored on my SD card I uninstall the app to see if it would work if I reinstalled it and I got nowhere the app will not download back onto my phone.
Solution: Sometimes issues such as this can happen which is often caused by a glitch in the phone software. To fix this issue try to wipe the cache partition of your device from the recovery mode then check if the problem still occurs. If it does then follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clear the cache and data of the Play Store. To do this go to the application settings then click on the all tab. From here search for the Play Store then click on clear cache and clear data.
- Clear the cache and data of the Walking War Robots app. Follow the same procedure above.
- Try to unmount the microSD card. Since you have a microSD card installed this can usually cause the problem. Once the microSd card had been unmounted try to download the update to the app again.
- Sometimes an update to the Google Play Store itself can cause this issue. Try to check if this is the case by uninstalling the app update to the Google Play Store.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail then I suggest you remove your Google account from the phone, reboot the device, then once the phone has started add your account again. Check if you are now able to download the app update.
Note 4 Error 963 When Downloading App
Problem: Received a update for NASCAR race view, and when it’s finished..it reinstall several times and then I get the error 963 can’t download…
Solution: When you are unable to download an app update from the Google Play Store the error 963 message will usually appear. To resolve this issue follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clear the cache and data of the Google Play Services Framework and the Google Play Store. Once this is done try to check if you are now able to download the app update.
- Uninstall any app update to the Google Play Store. Restart your phone then try to update the NASCAR app.
- Unmount the microSD card. Once the card has unmounted try to download the update to the NASCARD app. Once the download is successful remount the microSD card.
If you are still having the same issue after following the steps listed above then remove your Google account from the phone. Restart the phone then add your Google account. Check if you are now able to download the app update.
Note 4 Apps Start To Crash
Problem: Over the past couple of weeks i have noticed slowly that the apps that i have never had a problem with starting to crash. I can play them just fine but if i go to open let’s say the store on one of these games or a daily chest, then the app will crash and I am no longer allowed to open it up. I tried to find an error code but there doesn’t seem to be one. I thought i might have to do a software update but that didn’t work either.
Solution: How many apps are having this problem? If there are a couple of apps then try to check first if a software update is available for your phone. Once you have checked that your phone is running on the latest software version you will have to clear the cache and data of the affected apps. This will delete the temporary data stored in the app which could be causing the problem. I also recommend that you follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
Another factor that can cause this issue is the phone microSD card. If your phone has one installed then try taking it out then check if the apps still crash.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the problem then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 4 Slow And Freezes After Installing Facebook Messenger
Problem: Phone was great. Installed Facebook Messenger and it’s gone to hell. Slow and freezing in all Apps, mobile data intermittent in all Apps, battery life half what it was before.
Solution: Try to check if it is indeed the Facebook Messenger app that is causing the problem by uninstalling it. If the problem does not occurs after uninstalling the app then there could be a bug in the version you downloaded that is causing this issue. I suggest you wait for the next version of the app to arrive. In the meantime, you can access Facebook using the Chrome browser of your phone.
In case the issue still occurs even when the Facebook Messenger app has been uninstalled then there could be another reason behind this. Try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This deletes the temporary data in your device which if corrupt can cause this problem. If the issue persists then proceed with a factory reset. Take note that you will have to backup your phone data before doing this procedure.
Note 4 Can’t Play Video Error
Problem: I have a memory card in my phone for storage of photos and videos. Everything was working fine, and then all of a sudden it won’t play videos from gallery anymore. It shows that the video is there, but when I ours the play button, the screen goes black and says “can’t play video.
Solution: Sometimes this problem is caused by the video player app. Try to clear the cache and data of the video player app then check if you are now able to play the video. If the problem still occurs then proceed with wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. Consider also downloading a third party video player app from the Google Play Store such as VLC then check the video file plays with the downloaded app.
You should also verify if the video files are not corrupt. To do this you need to take out the microSD card from the phone and let your computer read it. You will need a card reader to do this. If the computer can’t read the file then it is most likely corrupt already.
Note 4 Unfortunately Music Player Has Stopped Working Error
Problem: My phone keeps showing an error message reading ‘unfortunately play music has stopped working.’ This is happening when the app isn’t even open. Most of the time the message will pop up twice, occasionally it will keep coming up, one after another, about 5 to 10 times.
Solution: The best way to fix this issue is to clear the cache and data of the music app. If the issue persists then proceed with wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
Note 4 Opens Applications Randomly
Problem: My phone just opens applications randomly or takes me to the app store when I try to open Facebook or watch a video. Sometimes I take it to the home screen to set it down and it opens “uber” for example like I clicked on it. Uber isn’t even an app I have installed.
Solution: It’s possible that your phone could be infected with some form of malware or adware. In cases such as this I suggest do a factory reset. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing this. Once the reset is done you should only download your favorite apps from the Google Play Store. If you constantly use the phone’s browser I suggest you don’t click on the advertising links that pop up when you visit websites.
