#VerizonWireless has now started rolling out the February security patch for the #Samsung #GalaxyTabS2 tablet carrying build LMY47X.T817VVRS2APB2. The update keeps the device on Android 5.1.1, so this is not a big update by any stretch of the imagination. But users should be relieved to know that the company and the carrier are offering periodical security updates to the tablet, thus keeping them safe from any potential security vulnerabilities.
Verizon only offers the 9.7 inch version of the Galaxy Tab S2 through its retail channels. The tablet comes with a 9.7 inch 2048 x 1536 resolution Super AMOLED display, an octa core processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2.1-megapixel front camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable), Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 5,870 mAh battery with a fingerprint scanner on board as well.
As for the update, Verizon Wireless subscribers should see it over the coming days if it’s not reflecting on their devices yet. Given the nature of the update rollouts, it’s not possible for the carrier or the manufacturer to send it out simultaneously.
