Note 4 Camera Warning Server Error Occurred Restart Camera

Problem: the front camera say warning server error occurred restart camera. i’ve tried taking battery out restarting factory reset none worked

Related Problem: Forward camera works, when I press the rear facing camera icon I get the (warning server error occurred restart camera.)

Solution: As seen from the problems above this issue can occur when using either the front camera or the rear camera. As for what’s causing this problem it  can be boiled down to two factors only, a software issue or a hardware issue.

The first thing that you need to do in this case is to wipe the cache partition of the camera app. It’s also best if you follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. These two steps deletes the temporary data stored in the app and the phone respectively which could be causing the problem. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs.

If the issue still occurs then it’s time to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If at this point the issue still persists then I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center as the problem could be caused by a faulty camera module.

Note 4 Camera Cannot Zoom In

Problem: Hi, I randomly came across your site and I noticed you encourage readers to submit Samsung Android issues via the form. I thought I’ll try this out with a couple if issues you might be interested in resolving. Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge, model number: sm-n915g. Bought over a year ago. Problem 1: “Cannot zoom in or out in this mode” Available camera modes: Auto; Beauty Face; Panorama. The problem persists in all the camera modes. To date it has not been possible to get the zoom function to work. Problem present since purchase. Problem 2: Any app shortcuts (including Twitter) newly added to Homescreen randomly disappear after some days, and have to continuously be added again. Problem present for around 1 to 2 months. Thanks for this opportunity and I hope to hear from you.

Solution: Make sure your phone is in Standard Mode. The camera zoom will not work in Easy Mode. To check if your phone is in Standard Mode go to Settings look for Personalizations. Tap the Easy Mode option then from here make sure that Standard Mode is set.

If your phone is already in Standard Mode but the issue still persists then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is done immediately check if you can use the zoom feature of the camera. If you still can’t then I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Camera Is Blurry

Problem: My  camera is blurry  and  will  not focus. I  literally have to shake the phone to  get  the camera to  focus. The  updates were suppose to fix it, but did not.

Solution: If the phone needs to be shaken before it can focus then this could already be a hardware related issue possibly caused by a faulty camera module. You should however check if other factors are causing this issue. Start by checking the camera lens for any signs of dirt or oil. If necessary, clean the lens using a microfiber cloth. If your camera is using a case then try to take it out then check if the issue still occurs.

The phone software can also cause this type of issue. To check if the problem is software related I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset immediately check the focusing feature of the camera.

If the issue still persists then I suggest you have your phone checked at an authorized service center.

Note 4 Camera Videos Not Loading

Problem: Hi. The videos that I have taken on my phone that are saved to my gallery are not loading ? I have tried updating my phone. That didn’t work. And I have restarted it and it still won’t play any videos?

Solution: This issue could just be caused by a glitch in the phone software. Try to wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode then check if the issue still occurs. If the videos are stored in the microSD card then try to change the default save location to the internal storage of your phone. Record another video then check if you can play it. If it plays then the problem could be caused by your microSD card. I suggest you replace this microSD card as this may already have some bad sectors.

If the above troubleshooting steps fail then backup your phone data and do a factory reset.

Note 4 Camera Videos Cannot Be Played

Problem: I recently took a video that cannot be played. When I click on it, it says “Can’t play video.” My phone was on power saving mode. Is there a way for me to be able to play the video?

Related Problem: Hi. I’m not able to play any of my home videos. The videos of the slow motion are fine, but the regular auto videos are not. Please help!

Solution: When your phone is in power saving mode it minimizes the battery usage to extend battery life. Try to disable this mode then check if the videos can be played.

To play the video file try to copy this file to your computer and check if it can be played using our computer. Make sure to use a video player with sufficient codec support such as VLC player. If the video file still can’t be played then it may be corrupt.

On the phone side, try to wipe the cache partition from the recovery mode then check if you are able to successfully record and playback a video.

If the issue persists I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
