#Sony has just announced that the #XperiaZ5 and the Z5 Compact are releasing in the United States starting February 7. The flagship ranged Z5 will be priced at $599.99, while the smaller Z5 Compact will set you back by $499.99 when available. These are unlocked and off contract prices of course, with no talk of carrier involvement at this point.
The two handsets have been available in some parts of the world for quite some time now, so it was about time the device hit the American markets. The Xperia Z5 and the Z5 Compact both come with very impressive hardware on board, which should make them attractive propositions in their respective price segments.
The Sony Xperia Z5 comes with 5.2 inch 1080p display, the octa core Snapdragon 810 chipset, a 23-megapixel rear camera, a 5.1-megapixel front camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable), Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 2,900 mAh battery.
The Z5 Compact on the other hand packs a smaller 4.6 inch display with a 720p resolution, the same Snapdragon 810 chipset, a 23-megapixel camera on the back, 32GB of expandable storage, 2GB of RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 2,700 mAh battery.
