A new report is claiming that the #Samsung #GalaxyS7 will come with a pretty impressive battery underneath. While the precise specifications are not confirmed as of now, it is being mentioned that the handset will be able to play video for about 17 hours on full brightness. That’s quite remarkable if this report has any truth to it.
As we know, Android’s number one killer is the display on time. It consumes more battery than any other menial background task. Going by this report, it seems like Samsung might have finally cracked the code for battery consumption.
In the manufacturers’ constant pursuit to bring innovation to their devices, something like this could go a long way in making an actual difference compared to the plethora of gimmicky features we see every year.
It has been rumored that the Galaxy S7 will come with a 3,000 mAh battery while the Galaxy S7 edge will supposedly have a 3,700 mAh battery underneath, which is a significant bump over all the 2015 Samsung flagships.
But more than the size of the battery size, the company might have made some crucial tweaks in the processor and the internal circuitry to keep battery performance at a minimum. More details are awaited on this front.
What do you make of this new rumored feature?
