S6 Screen Sensitivity Not Responsive
Problem: Screen sensitivity as described by others but not just on edges. Tried all recommended fixes and none helped. My experience has been that issue is hardware related as temperature makes a big difference. The warmer the phone the better the screen response and the more screen is used the better it responds.
Related Problem: Touch sensitivity was good, now it is very difficult, at times, for phone to react with my finger touch. Is there a setting to adjust sensitivity on the S6 phone?
Solution: Several owners of this device have reported that they have experienced an issue with the screen not being responsive enough. When using the phone sometimes the screen has to be touched multiple times before it responds. Let’s take a look at some of the basic troubleshooting steps recommended for this type of problem and see if you have missed something.
If your phone has a screen protector or case installed then try taking it out first. Sometimes the screen protector can cause this type of problem since it decreases the sensitivity of the screen.
Some form of corrupt temporary data can also cause this type of issue. To check if this is the case you should start your phone in recovery mode then wipe its cache partition. Restart your phone then check if the issue still occurs.
In some cases a third party app you installed in your phone can also cause the screen to become unresponsive. Try starting your phone in Safe Mode to check if this is the case. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are disabled. If the problem disappears in this mode then it could be caused by a third party app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
Although the TouchWiz launcher is made by Samsung sometimes this is what causes the problem. Try installing a third party launcher and see if the problem disappears.
One last troubleshooting step that you can do is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the problem then I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
S6 Boot Loop After Screen Replacement
Problem: LCD has been changed recently and after the replacement, it entered the samsung menu and everything was working well. At the first reboot the screen when black and steady blue light at the top of the phone.I can enter factory reset mode, tried wipe cache (black screen again) and factory reset (black screen again) and when i try to boot in safe mode, the logo screen appear in loop. please help me
Solution: If this issue occurred right after the screen replacement then there’s a chance that this problem is hardware related. I would suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center or to the place where you had the display replaced and have it checked. Before bringing your phone though you can try to flash the phone with its official stock firmware and see if this resolves the problem. To do this you will need a copy of the official firmware file as well as the latest version of Odin installed in your computer. Instructions on how to perform this procedure can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.
S6 Screen Does Not Turn On After Drop
Problem: 2 days ago I dropped my phone and ever since my phone screen won’t turn on. It still has power, if I click the home button the lights on both sides of the home button light up and when I put it on the charger the light turns on. If you know how,I can fix this please help me. Thank you.
Solution: It’s either the display got damaged during the fall or some connection got loose causing the display to not turn on. In either case you will need to bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked. There’s a possibility that the display will have to be replaced.
S6 Screen Lag
Problem: Started having terrible lag issues with keyboard and swiping – quite often taking 2 seconds to respond to key press. Initially had issues with back soft key not working, but now works intermittently.I had tried using Smart manager to clear, clearing cache under Settings/ Storage, the hard reset using power button and down volume and then cleared the cache partition using the power button/home key/ volume up key combo. These appeared to help for a few hours each time but then the problem returned. The resorted to a factory reset using the power button/ home key/ volume up menu. But that has actually made the problem even worse. Any solutions or is it back to the retailer? Rgds
Solution: If a factory reset fails to resolve the problem then this could already be a hardware related problem. If the phone is still under warranty then you could bring it back to the retailer. You could also bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
S6 Recovering Data From Broken Screen
Problem: I broke the screen on my s6 so its all black. I have some pictures on there that I put in the private mode that i really want i was able to connect it to my computer and get all of the pictures except the ones in private off of the phone. I know there must be some way to get these picture. please help me
Solution: To be able to retrieve the photos from your phone you will need a working display to bypass the security measure that you have set up in your device. I suggest you have the display fixed first.
S6 Always In Split Screen View
Problem: My phone keeps showing split screen view non stop, once it starts, I cannot use my phone to do anything, it lasts forever.
Solution: Try to check first if you have activated the split screen feature of your phone. The split screen feature is activated when performing the following actions listed below.
- Individually open two apps you want to use in split screen.
- Open the carousel using the recents key to the left of the home button.
- Tap on the Split Screen icon next to the X at the top right corner of the app you want at the top of the screen.
- The app will be opened in the top half of the screen.
- Tap any app in the carousel to open in the bottom half of the screen.
To exit split screen mode you just need to click on the Home key or the Recents key to return to any app.
If the problem still persists then this could be caused by a glitch in the phone software. I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset,
