Google testing out installation of Android apps directly from search results

Google Search - Play Store

#Google is supposedly testing out a new feature for #Android users which would allow installation of applications directly from the search results. In its current form, app results are shown in Search, but tapping them will redirect users to the Play Store, which can take a few seconds to load depending on your connection speed.

But having an ‘Install’ button right on the search results will solve this issue and make lives easier for the users. As of now, this seems to be a beta feature, so not everybody will see it right away. If you own a stock Android device, you should be high up on the list to receive this feature first.

To try out this feature, make sure you search for an Android app that you don’t have on your phone and tap the Free or Install button in the results. We must point out that the Free button is visible for all users, but with the new update, tapping the button will open a pop up box with permissions and other information without leaving the search results.

Have you seen this feature on your Android smartphone yet? Sound off in the comments section below.
