#ZTE showed off the #GrandX3 smartphone at the CES event earlier this month. At the event, it was also mentioned that the midranger would be revealed via Cricket Wireless in the U.S. The day has finally come today, with the carrier announcing that the Grand X 3 will be priced at $129.99 in the United States.
Judging by the pricing, you have probably guessed that this won’t be a specs monster, which is true to some extent. However, at $130, you can’t do much better in the budget segment.
The Grand X 3 comes with a 5.5 inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable), a 1.3 GHz quad core Snapdragon 210 SoC, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, a 2-megapixel front camera and a 3,080 mAh battery. The handset should be running Android Lollipop although the carrier hasn’t specified the version. It’s certainly not going to win benchmark contests, but there’s no denying that the smartphone is an excellent value for that price.
If you’re looking to switch from another carrier, Cricket will offer you a $50 discount, effectively giving away the phone for just $80, which makes this an even better deal. You should be able to pick up the smartphone from the carrier’s online store as well as retail outlets across the U.S. right away.
