The #OnePlusOne smartphone was launched a couple of years ago by the company to rave reviews and widespread acclaim. Given that the manufacturer has since released two new smartphones (OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X), it seems like the company is slowly phasing out the entry level variants of the 2014 flagship.
As of now, the 16GB model of the OnePlus One has been removed from the American and European OnePlus stores, which means that the entry level model is gone for good.
The company even issued a statement on the matter which pretty much confirms it – “According to feedback we have seen much greater interest in the 64GB version of the OnePlus 2 in North America and Europe, so we have removed the 16GB version from those store pages as of this week. We will continue to offer the 16GB version in limited markets such as India, where customers are more interested in an option for different amounts of storage.”
