S5 Having Difficulty Charging

The next thing that you should do is to check the charging port of your phone if it has any presence of dirt or debris. If necessary, clean this port using a can of compressed air or cotton bud dipped in alcohol.
If the problem still persists then this could already be caused by a faulty charging port. S5 Taking Hours To Fully Charge
Problem: My galaxy s5 is taking hours to fully charge. Once it does reach 100% and I unplug it, the battery drains completely within 3-4 hours even if the phone is not in use. Problem: Hello! I had the “power sharing” pop-up and my battery stopped to recharge… It was very difficult to charge, but sometimes, during charging, the battery jumped from 18% to 53 in 10min (for ex.). Even the PC didn’t recognize the USB so I couldn’t transfer my documents to the computer. The last time, I tried to charge when it was around 18% and with the charger on, it kept going down very quickly and the mobile was burning, even when it was off.I did the “safe mode instructions” before, but the phone turned on all by himself. Solution: It looks like the phone battery did not charge which is why your phone does not turn on. Try to use a different charging cord when charging the phone. The cord you are using may already be defective and is causing the problem. You should also try to use a different wall charger.

Problem: Hey droidguy, so i’m having problems with my phone when it’s charging and i’m 100% sure it’s not the charger that’s working because i tried over 5 different S5 chargers. It started not working when i accidentally dropped it. Every time i turn off my phone and charge it it starts charging but very strange and slow. Solution: If this problem occured right after you dropped the phone then there’s a big possibility that this is already a hardware related problem. You should however check the other factors that can cause this problem such as a defective charger ( you need to try using a different charging cable and different wall charger) or a faulty phone battery ( you will need to get a new battery).
